"Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. "I thought i just needed a place to sleep for the night. It turns out what i REALLY needed was a night at the spa. Everything was incredibly quiet and comfortable. Angelina was behind the counter and made everything flow seamlessly. She really went the extra mile to ensure i had a wonderful visit. I truly cannot say enough about this place and the place i found here. I will make it a part of all future travel plans to the area because it was such a positive experience. THANK YOU to all that...

"We stayed one night. The room was small but the bed comfortable although it was against the wall so not so convenient to get out of. We had dinner in the restaurant as we had received a discount for food. The menu was a bit limited but ok. B'fast was good even if did not have a massive choice. The staff was friendly and the location is walking distance to the harbour and centre of town plus there are a few parking spaces. "

"Property was fine but staff not warm and welcoming at all. We stayed a week and breakfast staff said “Hi” once. Never even checked we were guests. Beds very soft but shower was good. TV limited options for international traveler. "

"The bed was very soft. The mattress sloped on one side, making sleep difficult. I had to hang on with one arm to prevent my body from falling on the floor. Please fix this!!"

"Great spot, right by the water and in the middle of nature. The hotel has a spa/gym we didn’t use and a sauna (which was amazing). Great staff. If there is one thing that could be improved it would be the breakfast as it was very simple. These are special circumstances but I expected a way better breakfast for the price we paid for the night. "

"The house is just a regular villa without any extra soundproofing so when other guests stumbled in at one o'clock superdrunk everyone hears it. The guests then locked themselves in both bathrooms and started violently puking for everyone to hear. One other guest were sleeping off the whiskey in the living room couch. In the morning we opened a window and it turns out the street outside has surprisingly heavy traffic. We mailed the owner the morning after about the puking drunks and he asked "but...
