The Mill Rose Garden Cottage- come stay in a peaceful garden setting, situated just 2 blocks off the heart of the historic Old Town district of Half Moon Bay with easy walkability to award-winning restaurants, boutique shops, galleries, farmers market, festivals and so much more! It is also a short bike ride or slightly longer walk (1 flat mile) to the pristine beaches and coastal trail where you can ride or walk south towards the Ritz or north towards Pillar Point Harbor/Mavericks. We offer electric bike rentals to make this a pleasant and leisurely experience. After your daily coastal adventures, relax in the brand new (Oct 2022) hot tub and/or head downtown for a drink and/or appetizers, or enjoy an afternoon tea in the front garden and make your own appetizers in our well-stocked kitchen. No parking problems, we have plenty of street parking.

The house is lovely. Fenced in back yard for a pup. Very clean and well designed. You can walk to downtown but it is quiet when you are in the house. Will go back!

Beautiful house and close to everything. We loved the hot tub during the chilly evenings. Make sure and go for a bike ride on the coastal trail!

We had a great time visiting the beach and staying in the cottage. We especially liked using the barbecue and the hot tub. The owner has done very nice job of making us feel welcome and setting the place up for a relaxing visit.

Peaceful Gathering Place
Our close group of girlfriends had a weekend of connecting and relaxing at the cottage. We enjoyed cooking, eating, soaking in the hot tub, and chatting around the fire. We had a wonderful time!

Nice vacation
Very nice small house very close to downtown Half Moon Bay with multiple beaches nearby for hiking, exploring and braving the cold water. My family made it a base for many excursions, from Monterrey to San Jose, redwood forests and the San Francisco area. All had a great time.

Relax and Rejuvenate in HMB
Wonderful inviting home, the smell of roses filled the air! We really enjoyed the private backyard with a fire pit and hot tub. all the shops and restaurants were an easy 2 block walk from the property. And the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Will definatly stay at this property again.

Needed to beat the Sacramento heat. Came to HMB for one night. House was perfect. Walking distance to everything. Backyard had all the essentials for an evening of hot tub and fire pit. Kitchen was fully stocked with cups, dishes, beach towels, etc. Already recommended the place to family for a fun getaway.

Great Girls Getaway
Had an amazing long weekend girls getaway with my high school besties, whom I've known for over 30 years. The location was quiet but within walking distance to Main Street, clean and comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all the basics such as salt, pepper, oil and spices for cooking as well as coffee! It was a perfect place to catch up with some of my dearest friends - would definitely recommend and we certainly hope to go back.

Great weekend getaway (Fantastic Location)
The house was so great! It was charming, clean, and spacious enough for our group of 3 (could easily fit 4). Everything was easy from check-in to getting a quick issue resolved. The one little issue we had was addressed and taken care of so fast! All the amenities mentioned on the site were there and even some extra touches like bath robes. The other thing to note is the location, it was walking distance to the main stretch of town (dinner, coffee, etc.) and walking distance to the beach (though we rented bikes and/or drove to the beach). Great location, cute, and extremely comfortable.

HMB Cottage
Adorable! The cottage is lovely. Very clean, perfectly decorated, and lots of space to spread out. The front garden and backyard are so peaceful. The mattresses and bed linens are so comfortable that I actually took photos of the tags so I can purchase for my home. The W/D is a win. Hot tub very well maintained. Everything perfect. Walked to town (1 block) for meals. Can't wait to stay again!
