"Great value in a recently remodeled, very comfortable motel, about five minutes drive from town center and two block walk from the ocean. Manager extremely responsive to our every request and tips for the best restaurant (Pier Hotel) serving crayfish, a local favorite, including getting a great table with a view. The rooms face the parking lot, but the price saving over waterfront view hotels more than paid for our upscale dinner. Kaikoura has a great seaside vibe and just enough to do without being overcrowded. Would definitely stay here again."
