Not an “Entire Home”
Listing says “entire home” but this is actually an apartment style partition inside of a family home.
It does have its own entrance, but laundry and outdoor shower is shared. We booked several different “entire home” locations throughout the islands, and this was the only one that seemed to not understand that designation. We did not want to share space, meaning not even walls, ceilings…and especially sounds.
We stayed five nights, and I would not recommend this location for anyone wanting to be able to sleep in or have a full night’s sound sleep. We were woken up every morning around 5:00-5:30 by heavy footsteps and things being dropped on the floor above us, which was constant until about 7:30am.
Anyone staying here should consider bringing a sound machine or headphones to drown out the sound, as it often happened at random intervals in the night as well. We were able to drown out the noise by playing a 10-hour thunderstorm noise maker off of YouTube. The sound of thunder helped mask the heavy footsteps.
Aside from footsteps, you can also easily hear arguments and entire conversations that are held in the family home, even though all windows and doors in the Vrbo were closed. This sound was coming through the shared walls and ceiling.
The location was okay, but Kamehameha Hwy gets very congested. It was nice to be close to Ted’s Bakery, which we highly recommend!
