We stayed during the off season, so the hotel was relatively empty. OK hotel, more geared toward Vietnamese and Asian travelers, which should not be an issue for most. Rooms are small and clean. Complimentary breakfast was fine, Asian fare that also included some western, made to order eggs (omelets, boiled, etc.) The staff was pleasant. Most staff have limited English, but hey you’re in Vietnam, use Google Translate and there are no issues. The location was fine, across the street from the Hotel Mường Thanh casino and near the Sun World Park. One issue was that behind the hotel there was construction of what appears to be a huge complex going up. Construction was ongoing 24-hours, though at night the noise wasn’t bad, we were able to fall asleep. It appears the hotel does not have a bar, and the in-room mini bar had water and soda only. Not a big deal, right outside the hotel there are numerous local street vendors selling food, water, soda, beer, etc. Bring or buy (from a store) your own soap for the shower. The hotel only had tiny hand soap, which was the size of a throat lozenge. Shampoo was provided.
We only wished they had in-room safes to lock our passports and valuables. The hotel only had a “safe” at the front desk, which we didn’t use. The staff made copies of our passports the first day, then two nights later a hotel night manager asked for copies of our passports again since he couldn’t find them. So I’m glad we didn’t leave our passports with the front desk.
