Beyond The Hill House-Quiet with lots of Room to Roam

Quiet & Charming cottage is a 2 bedroom with queen size beds/1 bath-double shower, central air and constant heat. Extremely well maintained from top to bottom, the kitchen is fully equipped, coffee, tea. 800 Ct bedding and super thick towels for your stay. The extra large outdoor deck is great for morning sunrises and your coffee, and a great place to view the spectacular night sky. The pool area is at the main house just steps away from your cottage and is well secured for those who have small children, and has a large deck with canopy and lights. We are 7 Minutes to Territorial Capital of Oklahoma-Guthrie, where we celebrate many different festivals. A visit down town reveals many Victorian buildings and antique stores. Guthrie is home to The Dominion House, the worlds largest active Masonic Temple and it's gorgeous architecture, Outlaw Boothill, Annual International Bluegrass Festival in Cottonwood Flats. The cottage is 20 minutes to Lazy E Rodeo Arena, 30 minutes to OKC, Shopping. Bricktown, Bombing Memorial & OKC Thunder Basketball team. Both State Universities are within 1 hour. Beautiful rolling hills of Central Oklahoma abounding with deer and lots of turkey. We do not charge a deposit or a cleaning fee to our guests for our cottage. Our guest book speaks for itself, and we offer seclusion, with a wide open feel, no city hub-bub, but absolute peace and quiet for your stay. We wanted an escape to Guthrie for my husband’s birthday! The property was lovely and the family that runs it is even better! Lou Ann fixed an amazing breakfast both mornings and super helpful!

This place was amazing. The scenery was beautiful and the house was so comfortable and made us feel right at home. The muffins were so delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there next year.

Nice and quiet, with really good muffins
This is where my wife and I had our honeymoon when we eloped, so we returned for our 5-year anniversary. It's just as advertised - a nice quiet country house with great scenery. Lu Ann and Don are great people, and Lu Ann makes amazing muffins (we recommend Crazy Caramel and cream cheese-stuffed Strawberry). They went out of their way to make sure we felt safe as storms rolled through the area.

Weekend near Stillwater
We stayed for the weekend of the Mid South Gravel Cycling Race. Only about 40 minute drive into Stillwater. Right outside of Guthrie. Had a great trip and rested well between races Friday and Saturday. Great muffins and all of the essentials.

The house is very clean and pleasant; just as pictured. Lu Ann is very nice and her chocolate chip muffins are delicious! The location is easy to find. The perfect place to stay for OSU spring graduation.

Perfect for our needs
We much prefer a home like setting vs a hotel room when we travel & this definitely fits the bill. Very cozy and away from the hustle & bustle. Also, fresh baked muffins & breakfast casserole delivered to your door sure beats the warmed up 'continental breakfast' at the hotels.

We had a wonderful stay in the country at Beyond The Hill House. If you are looking for a nice place to stay just outside of Guthrie, then this is it. Very comfortable two-bedroom, one bath cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway to visit with family. Highly recommend. Owners are great. Muffins in the morning are delicious!!

Great place, great people
The country setting is ideal, the Wilsons are so kind, and the muffins are excellent. You can enjoy a pleasant walk down the country roads and maybe find some sand plums and wild blackberries by the pastures and fields. As I write this a wild turkey is gobbling down the road. It’s a fun getaway spot.

Great getaway spot
Beautiful country setting. We watched deer, wild turkeys, and coyotes in the pastures, took some pleasant walks down the roads, and loved our mornings and evenings on the deck. The weather wasn't the most cooperative, but the owners were there to help with any needs we had. Lu Ann and Don were absolutely wonderful, and Lu Ann's muffins were outstanding (we had the caramel delight muffins one morning and strawberry/cream cheese muffins the next morning). We definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to get away to the country for a couple of days.

Lovely home and wonderful hosts
The farm, house, and accommodations were perfect. Lu Ann was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her casserole breakfast with biscuits was DELICIOUS. We had so much leftover that we shared some with our friends. We struggled with the wall stove but that's simply because we'd never used one before. It was lovely waking up to the quiet and farm sounds. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the cool spring air and reading my book before my family woke up. The drive to town was quick and very easy. I'd definitely return!

Great stay surrounded by tranquil green pastures!
We will be back! What better way to summarize our stay. The property was easy to find with easy access. Almost all blacktop to arrive at a secluded house/cabin in the green hills of Oklahoma. Cattle were visible in the distance most of the time....and it was so quiet. The house was just as represented by the pictures and VERY clean. Sitting on the large deck early in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. Breakfast each morning provided by our hostess was fantastic! They really make you feel at home. Thanks for the experience.

Not a better place to relax!
You won't find a better place to sit back and relax! We loved the animals (dogs, cats, alpacas, goats, including two new babies!). Lu Ann and Don were the perfect hosts! When I requested the reservation I got an INSTANT confirmation and they were just as quick to respond to every inquiry! The place is nice and quiet and the deck is just wonderful! The stars are so bright from the front deck and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful with nothing to distract! Breakfast each day was really good-not sure if the muffins or the breakfast casserole was best-but each day started out perfectly because of the breakfast! Lu Ann just leaves it on the deck so get up whenever you like! Super friendly country folks without a lot of rules! Can't be beat! You do have to traverse one mile of unpaved county road to get to the house but everything else WAY outweighs that one small negative! You'll love it!
