Things like the conference room and the in room sauna were welcome. One of the best things for us was that Peter, the owner. let us use his garage to wax skis. While the location was scenic, it was also more difficult to get into town or to the ski trails and required taxi and bus transport."

"This is it. The rustic inn is only accessible by a handsome Swede driving a snowmobile, who comes to pick you up at the car park, carting your luggage padded by reindeer pelts. (You can also easily walk to the cars, which is only about 1/4 mile downhill from the Inn.) You can hop on your skiis and glide down to the nearest ski lift, popping back in for a fantastic lunch. "Hotel TOTT i a classic place to stay in Åre. It'c conveniently located upp hill from the small city. You can take the lift directly from the hotel to ski, or walk down to the center in 5 minutes. It's a bit steep to walk back up again, but hey, it's the mountains. Tott is great for families with kids. The pool, gym and spa is spacey and nice. The food is good (make reservations ahead if you want to have dinner there in the nights) and the breakfast is great. 7/10 would recommend."

"Das Lakeside Loghouse liegt auf dem riesigen und wunderschönen Grundstück von Stefans Familie in einer ländlichen Gegend direkt am Ufer des malerischen Sees "Alsensjön". Stefan hat sich vor und während unseres Aufenthalts sehr gut um all unsere Belange gekümmert - beispielsweise, als einmal wegen Straßenbauarbeiten der Strom ausfiel und er uns eimerweise Wasser vom See brachte oder als uns die Milch ausgegangen war und er uns welche schenkte. Das Loghouse wurde erst vor wenigen Jahren von ihm...
