'Wastin' Away' is a cabin that has been remodeled with modern conveniences. It is a small house, with two bedrooms and 1 bath, but has a large living area. It is close to the beautiful Gulf beaches, offering guests real value in their visit to the beach.
'Wastin' Away' is fully furnished- all you need to bring is your food and clothing for a fun time at our un-crowded, beautiful white sand beaches which is located less than 100 yards.
For those interested in bay or gulf fishing, a public boat launch on the Fort Morgan historic site, approximately 2 miles away, offers quick access to both Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Pets are allowed on our beaches as is alcohol, plus you don't have to remove beach equipment every evening.

This property is located in a family and pet friendly neighborhood. Gulf Shores is a short and easy drive away and Dauphin Island is a fun Ferry ride away. The beach is just steps away! The communication from the property managers was fantastic!

Great place and amazing location!
This place is wonderful! It was just right for two adults. Sure, the furnishings might be a bit dated, but they were functional. And nothing can beat this location! We wanted a quiet place for some beach R&R, and we got exactly that!

We were very pleased, the house was nice and clean and not far from the beach. Tina was an awesome host and we will stay in a property owned by her, if available, next time we go on vacation. Convenient to Gulf Shores snd places to eat.

Enjoyed our stay at Wastin Away!
We enjoyed our stay! We have stayed at a family members house that is directly across the street for several years now. When that house was not available, we were excited to find Wastin Away. We love the area and enjoy being able to walk to the beach, bring our dog with us, and feel safe letting the kids play outside. We had a great, relaxing family vacation here! Thanks Joe & Tina!

The house was amazing a little small but for a family of 4 perfect. The house is a little lower to the ground than the rest of the houses down there so if you are over 6 foot tall you have to watch your head. The house was clean an comfortable

Perfect spot for relaxation
Had a great Labor Day weekend (even if the weather was a little rainy). Great location very close to the beach. Lots of friendly people with dogs In toe in the neighborhood. Cute house with a great deck and everything you need to just relax and disconnect. Will definately be back again.

2nd time at wastin away!
This is the second time we booked wastin away with Joe and Tina. Felt like our home away from home. Time gave us a call our 2nd day there to make sure we got settled in and let her know if we needed anything. House had everything we needed and we truly enjoyed our stay. I believe we will make this a yearly trip:)

We enjoyed our stay, this was our first time to stay at Ft.Morgan and we discovered a paradise. It was refreshing to enjoy an beautiful beach without the fanfare of more popular areas. Definitely a must on our future beach trips. The rental was dated but clean. It was a camp experience. Our next stay request will include 2 bathrooms and a larger shower. But all in all it was a good place to stay for our needs.

Sweet Home Alabama
Vicki and I were looking for a place that we could escape the winter and found it here at Wasting Away. It’s a beach bungalow cottage with everything you need to enjoy Fort Morgan, one of the best kept secret's. The place had what we needed and if it wasn’t there we went to the Dollar General to get it. Wasting Away is about the beach, surf fishing, Mardi Gras and the Blue Angles flying by. If you have pets it’s perfect, a short walk to the dog friendly beach and miles of open space to run and play. The open floor plan has the longest kitchen center piece I’ve ever seen. Great for gatherings and just spreading out a buffet. Wasting Away is for independent minded people that can improvise, making it what you want it to be. It was the perfect place for the beach hippie in me. We plan to come back soon.

Condemnable Property!
We rented this property for a week, but within 30 minutes of arriving, we left and went to a hotel. The next day I notified the owner that we would not be staying for the week. I realize this property is older and therefore, definitely more affordable but it is simply unacceptable. Please, please avoid the mold, dirt, dust and just plain filth factor of this property!! I don't want anyone else to fall victim to a ruined vacation!!

DO NOT STAY HERE
Do not stay here unless you love extra unwarranted charges. We were charged $150 for leaving a very little food in the fridge and a little trash in a bag in the kitchen. I have proof! Ask me for details. TERRIBLE hosts. Called and harassed me. I have the pics that caused them to do so. Love fort Morgan, this is the first place to make me not enjoy my time here. Tina Scarborough and husband are awful.
