"Great staff. Friendly and responsive! Rooms were very warm on the 3rd floor, so I had the heat off and an open window most of the week (in January!). The split mattresses were a but cumbersome and one side kept falling off the side of the bed....but they were comfortable. Breakfast was overall good but no fresh salmon (laks....which I love!) like other hotels, despite their location near the fjords. Overall, 9/10 experience. Thank you!!"

"We had an amazing time in Ortnevik. The cabin had a beautiful view and the town of Ortnevik is so charming. The cabin was rustic and cozy. The host was very friendly and responsive. Overall we had an amazing stay!"

"Very nice little hotel, warm welcome, clean room with beautiful view to the fjord. My suggestion to the host when you offer breakfast at the additional cost please make sure it is decent and please do not act rude when being asked about vegetarian alternatives. There were none, so we being vegetarian felt tricked into paying for nothing. "

"We arrived in the rain and the people at this hotel made us feel as though we were coming home. It was like a port in a storm:) the room was basic, but had a little kitchen with a fridge, and a super comfy bed. The bathroom was a space saver, so a little water did get on the bathroom floor, but it was no big deal. The curtains were dark enough to block the light, and even though our room was facing the road, it was very quiet. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. There is coffee and tea available all the time. We would stay there again, especially because the young women and gentleman who took care of us were lovely and so welcoming. We recommend :)"

"We had the most serene, wonderful stay at this house. The view of the fjord is breathtaking and the unit is very clean and updated. If you’re lucky, the sheep might say hello from across the yard! If we’re ever in Norway again, we wouldn’t hesitate staying here again"

"We did a last minute reservation while driving along the Norwegian coast, and were lucky to find this great lodge. Even though we arrived late at night, the lady owner was waiting for us, and even upgraded our room for a larger one with a nice view of the water and fjord. The lodge is located on a somewhat secluded area away from heavy traffic, with its own little fjord beach. Its a great place to sit back and relax, that I hope to be back one day."
