"The town of Guiglia is great for anyone wants to explore Emilia Romagna by car but avoid actually staying in the larger towns of Modena or Bologna. We had a variety of experiences in Castelvetro, Modena, and other surrounding towns, and all were fairly easy to access from Guiglia. The property itself is lovely, and the kitchen was well-stocked if you want to cook a few meals at home. "We visited Bologna for a couple of days, and this home was a lovely spot to stay at. It is near the airport but there is very little noise. Driving past the roundabout for the airport can be a little daunting, but no more than driving elsewhere in Italy! The house is beautifully decorated with art from the owners travels around the world and the home itself is very serene. The owner was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our visit very much."
