Best location, great for a couple, pricey, needs updating, friendly helpful owners, we'll be back!
Excellent location; views, if clear, of La Gomera and La Palma.
Development largely well cared-for & clean.
Duplex flat, external lift to 3rd floor. Bedroom, bathroom with large shower & washing machine on 4th. Not recommended for more than two people, except perhaps additional baby, for which some items provided. WC on lower floor is useful.
Very well-equipped, though now looking rather dated and in need of some renovations.
Salad spinner provided on request.
Full size dishwasher.
Small fridge with freezer "section".
Hob & oven fine.
Salt & pepper but few other consumables.
Lots of cleaning equipment but few cleaning products.
Plenty, although an astonishing range, of mismatched cutlery.
Adequate amount of crockery.
Plenty of glasses & just enough mugs & cups for two.
Bedroom curtains not thick or wide enough to block out light.
Standard double comfortable bed. Two single duvets, but only 3 uncomfortable pillows - we folded up the spare duvet to use as well.
Bedlinen again a hotchpotch; only 1 of 3 duvet covers fitting.
Just enough towels, only one swimming towel.
Clothes washing & drying facilities fine.
No cockroaches(!), and only a few small ants. Our last rental was full of them both.
No horrible open drain holes which we see (& smell) in many Canarian properties.
Bathroom & WC "windows" do not have fixed glass. Instead there are (unfixed) fly screens & internal glass panels which don't entirely cover the window area. In a strong wind with the resulting dust storm from the waste ground behind and beside the building, there is no way to prevent dirt from blowing in. It comes under the door as well.
Shower plastic stay not really up to the job. Owner repaired it but we had to do more.
Bathroom door will blow open in the wind, but locks from inside.
Lovely proper swimming pool, ~25m; this & the sunbathing area are regularly cleaned.
Balconies face W not S per description; no sun in Dec/Jan/Feb till 1230-1300.
Top balcony small with a sofabed covering 1/3rd of the space.
Main balcony has a table & a varied selection of upright chairs.
No loungers/recliners.
Pullout washing line useful.
Manually operated awnings.
Traffic noise not a problem except for weekly recycling collections (night-time 0200).
Living area has two single folding sofabeds, not very comfortable, though there are many cushions.
TV & WiFi work most of the time; selection of UK & other stations.
Many restaurants & shops within easy walking distance.
Car not necessary.
