The River House is far enough from the main road to be quiet and serene but is still just walking distance from the Russian River where you can float/swim all day. The house has incredibly fast wifi as well as an electric car charging port.

The neighborhood has a tennis court, Pee Wee golf course, community playground, and the house is walking distance from the Rio Nido Roadhouse which offers incredible food, drinks, and live music.

A perfect setting in the redwoods
We loved this home so much! The beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of room. Having 2 bathrooms was really helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed. The area was quiet and peaceful among the redwood trees. The jacuzzi and sauna were perfect. We'd love to stay here again!

Lovely house in a great location
We spent a long weekend at Pierce’s with our family and friends (6 adults, 2 kids) and had a wonderful time. The house is clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to spread out. The multiple outdoor spaces to hang were great. The neighborhood is friendly and there a playground within walking distance of the house. Pierce was super responsive and has clearly put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space.

Beautiful house, beautiful setting
This vacation home was perfect for a family that included young adults. There were several places to relax, my favorite being the back deck among the trees. Everything was clean, tasteful and comfortable. There is a wonderful fire pit, as well as a front porch to eat family meals. There is a little cabin bedroom separate from the main house which is very charming and private. We stayed for five days and did not want to leave! A great combination of being surrounded by natural beauty, yet just a few minutes from town.

Everything about this property was perfect. Check in / check out instructions were easy and clear. The amenities were amazing- sauna, hot tub, outdoor firepit, bidets, patio, BBQ, and scenery could not have made this location any more perfect. Beautiful Stay!
We stayed at this property while going to a wedding in the wine country. Property was perfect for my family and our small dog. We really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna in the evenings and loved looking up at the redwoods. Communication with the property owner was great - he had given me a heads up that one of the bathrooms was being redone (just had yet to be painted, and in no way affected the stay at all). The property is set back from the neighborhood so you don't feel like there are other houses around. I would definitely recommend this property!!

Gorgeous property and one of my favorite trips
My friends and I were looking for a little get away for spring break and we stumbled across this place. Let me just say it was amazing. The property has everything you need, the beds are amazing, kitchen is fully stocked as well as the bathrooms. We made some great food in the kitchen, enjoyed some s’mores by the fire, and late night hot tubbing! The host is great and communicates very fast and has clearly put a lot of effort and care into his home. The directions were very easy to understand and the house was very accommodating and felt like home. Reading the journal entries from other people was also very cool, if you stay here definitely write in it. We will be returning in the future and I highly recommend this home away from home.

Most Amazing Experience From VRBO
This was an amazing property, Quiet, Serene and surrounded by beautiful redwood trees. The place really has everything and more. Pierce is an very gratious host and we look forward to coming back every year!

A forest paradise
I can't say enough about this gorgeous home and surrounding property. The owner was so gracious with late check in and out. It helped so much with the logistics of tenting our home for termites. My kids loved "glamping" in the back house and our dog loved exploring the yard. The sauna was a big hit. The skylights are awesome, the beds are comfortable and the fireplace is so cool. We don't want to go home!

Perfect spot for a long reunion weekend
Four of us have been friends since college (last century) and chose Pierce's listing as our base for a long reunion weekend in Sonoma. What an absolutely perfect place it turned out to be! The house is comfortable and cosy (as is the cabin in the back), and even though there are houses around it, it felt like an absolute oasis among the trees. We all agreed the beds were amazing, too. It turned out to be a fantastic location for visiting vineyards, grabbing breakfast at the River Inn Grill, or going to the coast, and our only regret is that we didn't have time to visit the local state park and spend some more time amongst the redwoods. Thank you, Pierce, for hosting such a lovely spot and making our reunion weekend even more special.

Couldn’t have wanted more
Pierce is a master host. This is the first VRBO we’ve ever stayed in where the host was a palpable presence without ever intruding. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with cooking equipment, the house was lovingly decorated, and the landscaping was truly special. We’ve never felt so welcome while also feeling like kings of our own castle. This place is a perfect property in an incomparably beautiful setting - you won’t do better.

Nice private getaway in the forest!
A very quiet spot surrounded by the redwood forest. Very private, off the road behind a couple of other houses. Everything you need to barbecue, or cook and hang out at the house! Great front deck with large dining table. Nice hot tub and fire pit! Newly remodeled with a cute modern and comfortable style. Felt a little like camping with a comfy bedroom!

Magical forest retreat
We have been renting vacation houses for decades and can say that this was our favorite of all time. The property is nestled in a ravine surrounded by the redwood forest. You can spend hours just staring up at the golden light peeking through the trees. The house is perfectly designed for multiple families and has a clean, modern aesthetic with quality fixtures and appliances. The beds and pillows are extremely high quality and comfortable. (Pendleton pillows on the couch!). The back bedroom tiny house was peaceful and cozy. The hot tub is positioned to fully enjoy the forest seclusion as you soak. The large table on the front deck was big enough for all 8 of us to enjoy dinner together under the stars. The beach was a short walk down the road and made it easy for people to come and go from the river as they pleased. We will definitely be renting this house again someday!

Clean and modern gem
We enjoyed a weekend getaway at this lovely house. The house has been renovated and has great amenities including a hot tub that can fit 4 people (5 is a bit tight) and a bbq. There are 4 bedrooms in the house and a separate bonus room (new), all of which can accommodate a good size group, but be aware that the common areas inside the house are a bit small if you are a party of 5 or more. The front deck is great place for lunch and dinner on a warm day. Overall, we loved this place.

River house fun
Had a holiday gathering our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was pretty cold this weekend, but all in all a great time. Home was beautiful inside and out. A little smaller than the pictures showed for the 6 adults and 2 toddlers, but again, a beautiful home and setting.

Fabulous river house
This house was the perfect weekend getaway for myself and a group of friends. Great location close to downtown Guerneville but the house itself feels private and secluded and surrounded by nature. Super clean, well equipped, beautiful space had everything we needed and more - would definitely stay at this place again on my next trip to the area.

Enchanted Forest River Getaway
A girlfriend's weekend birthday celebration! We were so lucky this house found us! Truly an enchanted, wonderful property! Attention to every detail has been taken to make your stay the best ever!
