This private, two-level home is beautifully secluded on the shores of Fife Creek, less than two miles north of Guerneville's unique shops and eateries. Take majestic morning hikes through Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve half a mile north, spend the summer swimming in the Russian River at Johnson's Beach and Guerneville River Park less than two miles south, and taste the fruits of the region at Stumptown Brewery (two miles southeast) and Korbel Champagne Cellars (three miles southeast).

Warm, quiet, and adorned with natural wood, the living space is a respite for hikers, wine enthusiasts, and travelers in search of serene relaxation. Sip your morning coffee in the warmth of the wood-burning stove, prepare homemade breakfasts in the full kitchen, and read the paper on the deck with your dog curled up at your feet.

Spend summer days kayaking the Russian River, riding bikes over to Stumptown, and driving out to the wild ocean coast 14 miles west. You'll have all afternoon to sip cold beers on the cushioned deck furniture, flip steaks on the gas grill, and take soothing soaks in the private hot tub overlooking the creek. End each evening piled on the sofa, where you can browse the free WiFi and watch Netflix movies on the 42-inch TV (guests must use their own Netflix account).

Nice, cozy & rustic little cottage
The Fife Cottage is a nice, cozy & rustic little cottage. However, I could only give it 3 stars because of the following. I should have notice these items in the pictures. If I did, I wouldn't have booked the cottage. First, the bedroom doesn't have a closet & the dresser was full of owner items. Therefore, we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor. Minus 1 star. Second, the bathroom doesn't have any counter space for my wife to do her makeup. Minus 2nd star. The location was great, just down the road from Armstrong Redwoods.

Excellent get away spot!!!
Loved the house. Nice and quiet. Loved the sounds of the stream while sitting outside in the hot tub and patio. Other than numerous spiders around inside the house, absolutely loved it. We will definitely be return guests. I asked about the cushions for the furniture on the back patio and Vacasa was ready to send someone all the way out to the house to find them. Great service, excellent communication, nice house, all around 5 star weekend!!!

Several Problems
We stayed at this rental home for over a week. We were promised enough beds for 6 sleepers. There was a pull out couch upstairs that was old, dirty, and broken. When my 7 yr old daughter slept in it, I found over 50 bug bites around her neck and back the next morning. I have pictures to show the severity of these bites. I then checked my 10 yr old daughter who had slept in that same bed the night before, and she had bites on her neck and shoulders as well. I tried contacting the property manager who texted me the check in instructions a couple of days prior to this incident, but I was ghosted. I wrote her several times and she never responded. Another problem happened I ne day when my teenager was in charge. A woman with blonde hair drove up in a truck, parked in the drive infront of the front door, did not knock on the door, was not wearing any kind of identification on her clothing specifying who she was, went around the back, did things in the backyard with the hot tub and other things, and then left eventually after awhile. My kids were so freaked out and felt very worried about their safety. I was so upset that I called VRBO customer service immediately. They told me the property manager would contact me about the situation. I was never contacted. The owner never apologized for the incident or explained who that was. I feel I should be refunded for my stay due to pest infestation and privacy violations. The house came with a few helpful amenities. The front bedroom was really nice. The sheets were very soft. The hot tub and hammock are enjoyable. The scenery and redwoods are beautiful. However, the yard is not maintained or landscaped. It is severely overgrown. Nothing like the pictures on VRBO show. No private access to the creek. One of the biggest reasons why we selected this house and paid such a hefty price tag was that I knew my kids would love the creek. I was very disappointed to see how much neglect the property had both inside and out. The shower door stall was broken. The furniture and house needed updating. It was dusty and not very clean feeling. The owner def needs to take some of their cash flow and invest in beautifying and updating the property and home. I was very disappointed and shocked by the lack of and difficulty to contact the management when we had problems. This property is not worth the price they are charging. I will not be back and feel that they should compensate us for our difficult experience.

Yard is overgrown with weeds and hot tub was dirty
Overall, this stay was disappointing and the first for me where the pics were nicer than the property itself. My stay began by receiving a notification three hours before check-in time stating that the trip was canceled because it couldn't be cleaned. After an hour on the phone, this was fixed. The two main reasons I booked this place were the hot tub and the backyard for my dog. The hot tub was dirty (could feel the dirt/sand at the bottom while in it), and the backyard was so overgrown with weeds that I ultimately had to keep the dog out because she would get covered in prickers within just a few minutes of roaming around.

Great place - responsive service once we connected to the right person
There were a couple small issues w.r.t. the grill (spark ignition didn't work, no butane lighter) and hot tub (not enough water). I tried to get feedback through the app, but that didn't work well. I called instead and the service was prompt. They came by, assessed the situation, bought the necessary items and were very helpful. The regional contact gave me her contact information if we needed anything else (we didn't). The place itself was as described, quiet, and comfortable.

Cozy and clean
Cabin was perfect for a cozy weekend getaway. Family of 6 stayed comfortably. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Furnishing is minimal, but had everything we needed for making meals and relaxing together. Kids loved exploring the creek bed. Unfortunately the state park was closed due to recent fires (very close to the property when open), but we made a day trip into Sonoma for hiking and had a fabulous time.

Huge beds and well-stocked kitchen
Loved our stay here for a remote work getaway. Super clean. Hot tub was hot. Kitchen was well-stocked with every condiment, etc. Beds in the downstairs bedroom and upstairs loft are huge and very comfortable. It's minutes away from great restaurants (Rio Nido Roadhouse + Boon for dinner are great). Just FYI, would strongly recommend earplugs for tree overhead dropping some kind of heavy nut on the roof and no door to upstairs loft bedroom. Armstrong Redwoods Park down the street is closed due to fire damage and the creek is dry this time of year. Very little Verizon service and WiFi is perfectly functional but not blazing fast with three people online. During the day, the dining room/living area doesn't get a ton of natural light.

Weekend get away
We had a great time. Loved the hot tub, close to everything. Peaceful. Would have been nice if bedroom door had a screen door. We went during a heat wave, and house was a bit warm. Also, BBQ pit did not work even though propane tanks were full. Awesome neighbor bailed us out and lent us his BBQ put to use.

Personal touch, nice quiet end-of-road location.
Was there just before recent fire in Healdsburg. Mgr came to check that everything was ok and to give me a battery powered lantern in case PG&E cut the power. Nice cabin with good sized kitchen. Appreciated that the refrigerator was stocked with common things like mustard, ketchup, mayo, salad dressing and other things. Will definitely stay there again.

Cute house
The house was very cute and situated in a very nice area. With that said, it could’ve been cleaner. There were spatters on the wall in the kitchen and the bathroom tiles could have been cleaned better. The only reason I’m stating this is to make sure that I am not blamed for these previous items. Over all, my five girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay there very much and the house fit our needs very well.
