Pleasant Overnight Stay
Hotel Armida is our regular stop, traveling to and from Mazatlan. The staff are friendly and helpful. The interior grounds that surround the pool are beautiful, offering an enjoyable spot to sit and read. In addition, the hotel has a restaurant and an adjacent steakhouse, both providing delicious food.

Oasis inside
The Armida is not impressive from the outside, but is wonderful inside. The grounds, rooms, and pool area are excellent. Truly an oasis in the middle of the city.

The beds were great, the place was clean and I loved the gardens and restaurant. The front desk staff did not even attempt to help me understand their Spanish, or try to understand my English- very rare in my extensive travels in Sonora! All other staff were attentive, patient and kind.

I had a conformation on my pet friendly room. When I tried to check in I was told no cats. Dogs are ok but no cats. Expedia had called me three days previous to ask about my travelling with a pet. I informed him I had a cat. No problem he said. But today when I was checking in a woman informed the young man that was checking me in that no cats were allowed. Now I would like to know how I can get my money back for this room I was denied. Please let me know.

The hotel has a nice look making you feel like you're in a bit of a oasis. The surrounding city completely disappears because of it. Staff was friendly but a bit unprofessional. Paying on arrival, only for them to discover Expedia also already made the transaction - So I paid double. They quickly discovered this and corrected the mistake. But still... We checked in 2 hours early, they kindly let us, but 1 room wasn't ready yet. It took them 3 hours to sort it out and I suspect they forgot about the 2nd room and didn't want to provide it at all. After repeated "wait for a whiles, we're cleaning the room" excuses I finally got the 2nd room and found it not so clean... Dust everywhere where a easy wipe couldn't reach. Wifi was pretty much non-existent and I couldn't connect my laptop at all. My phone kept dropping the connection because the signal was so weak. Absolutely useless. In both rooms amenities like towel hooks, tiling, outlets and small things like that were worn out or outright broken. Not a big deal, but once you poke through the thin layer of luxury you see at first glance a bit of a downer. Overall a fine hotel. But if I had to pay full price and this is what I got it's not something I'd return for.

Todo muy bien, solo que tuve que solicitar que callaran a unos huéspedes que estaban de fiesta en la alberca fuera de horario. Yo requería descansar porque tenía que levantarme a las 4am y se escuchaban los gritos y la música. Por fortuna el personal me apoyó y en minutos después acabó el escándalo
