Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. They pointed out the local supermarkets, metro station, parking and took us on a tour of the town. "The location was very easy to find with clear instructions, and excellent communication at all times. We even had help from the owner phoning a local restaurant which was a nice touch. "Communication prior to our visit was very good. Information was provided that was very helpful. The house was very beautiful and the view from the property was beautiful as well. The outside grounds were well maintained and the pool was very well kept. We had no issues during our stay, so did not have the need to communicate with Marcia and anyone during our 3 night stay. "The accommodation was in a beautiful tranquil setting. We really felt that we had a relaxing break in Celerico de Basto. Lovely pool and even a little lake to row a boat on much to the delight of the children. The kitchen was a slightly strange set up but we soon got used to cooking on the BBQ . "We stayed with two couples for 14 days at this lovely house. Olga and Paulo were fabulous hosts and gave us countless of wonderful tips on what to do and where to eat. Communication was flawless. Check in was easy and Paulo greeted us with a bottle of wine and fresh pastry specific to the region. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was superbly stocked including a welcome package of fridge necessities and fruit. The host also provided daily fresh bread which saved us a trip to the local supermarket (5 min drive)."
