The area is blessed with a wide variety of wildlife, much of which can be seen from the garden from time to time: wild boar, deer, foxes, red and black squirrels, lizards, porcupine, buzzards, fire flies. Fantastic place for star gazing as no light pollution. Wonderful views of rolling hills. Two minute drive to Gualdo with its two supermarkets, butcher, bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, 2 cafe/bars (one, Scarlet's, has a great range of ice cream) and excellent restaurant (5 stars on Trip Adviser) for ambiance, food and wines (L'Infinito A Tavolo). Ancient hilltop villages and towns including Gualdo, Sarnano, San Ginesio, Penna, St.Angelo, Loro Piceno 2 -20 mins drive, Sibilini mountains 20 mins and beaches 50 mins. Mountain walks, road biking, mountain biking, e-biking (available for hire in Sarnano), many marked foothill walks with spectacular views start from Sarnano, swimming lake at Fiastra, and Roman remains to explore nearby.
