27/7-31/7 DEBBIE HARVEY LITTLE BIT OF PARADISE We stayed at Villa Mari for 2weeks. We are a family of 15 and we rented four of Mario’s 7 apartments. It worked especially well for us as it gave us our own space yet we were still able to eat and socialise together. The apartments were all ready for us when we arrived. It was very late but Mario and his lovely daughter Francesca waited for us until after midnight to settle us in. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If we needed anything or questions answered then Mario sorted/answered straight away. Each apartment has its own front patio and garden/bbq area. Also tables and chairs plus sun loungers to relax on. The pool area was big enough for all of us plus the other guests staying there. The view and surrounding area is breathtaking so don’t forget your camera. Quite rural so very tranquil. Also central for places to visit though. We caught a train to Rome, a tram to Florence and drove to Assisi, Pisa and Pompei. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will certainly be back in the future. Thank you Mario and Francesca, Debbie & family

SINEAD 14/7/17 Paradiso- a little slice of heaven
I can't speak highly enough of this amazing place! I came here with my husband and two little girls for 10 days and we didn't want to leave! The family who run it are so kind and helpful. Francesca even took us out for a drive to show us the local supermarkets and where a lovely village fete was happening. She and Mario could not have done more for us, such lovely people. The place is stunning, the views all around are breathataking and at night there is a cool breeze. The pool is beautiful and it is so relaxing to sit out and chill nearby. At night you have the stars, the song of crickets and a cool apartment to sleep in. I have stayed in many places over the years but this one we will come back to! A fabulous holiday- thanks so much!

Our holiday was definitely made by staying at this beautiful place. You can relax by the pool. Or outside your apartment you can have a meal and look at the stunning surrounding. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. It had all we needed for our stay. This location was close to many places to visit. We went to Rome, loved Asissi and explored many more places of interest. From the moment we booked this apartment Mario helped us, nothing was too much trouble. He gave us a very warm welcome he is a wonderful gentleman. Thank you Mario and your family for welcoming us too your apartment

Prachtige vakantieplek

Wat een fijne plek om vakantie te vieren met vrienden! Een heel fijn huis, genoeg ruimte, privé zwembad en in een prachtige omgeving. De eigenaren zijn heel behulpzaam en kunnen allerlei tips geven voor de omgeving. Het is een rustige plek waar je wakker en opstaat met de krekels. Echt een aanrader!

An absolute gem of a place

A very last minute Umbria choice but perfect in so many ways. Excellent location. A little off the beaten track. But peace. Quiet. Views. Sunsets. Relaxation. And a friendly welcome. All in all, Pretty perfect.

schöner Erholungsurlaub

Wir haben 2 Wochen in Villamari verbracht. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Den Pool haben wir besonders genossen. Es ist dort sehr ruhig und erholsam. Man hat eine schöne Aussicht und man kann den Sonnenuntergang wunderbar beobachten. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um die historischen Städte zu besichtigen. Mario und Vrancesca waren immer erreichbar. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 weeks. Top location, nice accomodations, lovely pool and fantastic views over Umbria. Warm welcome and support from Francesca and Mario, who even arranged us a wheelchair due to a broken foot. Great experience with the hot air balloon convention nearby. Visits to Spoleto, Trevi, Perugia, Deruta, Bomarzo ... with lovely food and wine. We recommend it with pleasure. (July 2018)

Wonderful stay in Villa Mario & Friends

We spent two weeks in villa Mario & friends. We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens, the pool, the quietness. It was very relaxing to hear only the birds, the bees and the crickets. We hope to be back!!

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo vissuto una settimana da sogno in questo appartamento. La cosa più bella è svegliarsi la mattina e fare colazione sulla terrazza panoramica dove la vista è mozzafiato. Poi la mattina andavamo a fare delle visite turistiche alle località vicine (Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Spello, Orvieto) ed il pomeriggio a bagno nella piscina, anche qui un panorama 360°...che pace!.

Meravigliosa

L'appartamento 'Gregorio' è molto bello, ho apprezzato soprattutto l'ampia terrazza arredata per mangiare e comoda in quanto collegata alla cucina. La zona della piscina è meravigliosa, è molto piacevole passarvi i pomeriggi dopo aver svolto delle visite turistiche nella mattinata. La vacanza è stata piacevolissima e da ripetere!. Grazie al personale sempre molto cortese e disponibile.

FANTASTIC

I had expected that it would turn out to be not as good as it looked on your website: In fact it was better!. The rooms and the beds were bigger and lighter than I had expected. It was very pleasant to have insect screens on the windows which could then be kept open. The kitchen was quite adequate and there was a good supply of everything and contained everything required. The bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. The house was very clean and the grounds well maintained. Most of the time we ate outside in the big terrace from which you have a stunning view of the green rolling hills and valleys. There were plenty of outdoor chairs around the pool, with glorious view, which also was well maintained and clean. The house was in a great position. It sits on a rise by itself and there is almost no sound at all. There are any number of interesting excursions you can make within an hour drive and plenty within half an hour drive. There is a wide range of restaurants nearby. I noticed only at the end of our holiday that there is a walking track leading to a medieval castle in half an hour. We had pleasant walk around in the unsealed road leading to the house which is a little rough in parts (but no more than you would expect of such a road) and very panoramic. Mario, the owner, was very helpful and efficient.
