Had a wonderful stay at Windjammer, from the spacious villas all with a magnificent ocean views, beautiful beach, comfortable lounge chairs, variety of restaurants onsite, and availability of all-inclusive option. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help. They had live music each night near the restaurants/bars, but any other nightly entertainment was lacking. It is a place for relaxing.

Let me start out with saying DO NOT get a basic room. They are small and dirty with no view and you literally feel like your in a jail cell. We had to upgrade to a villa (600 bucks more a night) but it was worth it to get out of that room- I think the number was 146A-Horrible room. We upgraded our room and it was nice- but further from the beach way up on the hill. Amazing views but a hike to the beach. You have to take a shuttle to get up and down. One night a hotel employee rang our door then proceeded to walk in and said "oh sorry I thought this was vacant" and walked out. Then a stomach bug ravaged through the resort and my husband and I were sick for 2 days. The beach itself was OK- a lot of seaweed in the water and you had to reserve your chairs. On the positive side- the employees were extremely nice and the food was very good at the restaurants. Shout out to Leesa who was our ambassador and she really helped us alot.

I wanted to give this higher ratings but honestly there's a lot going on. The staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. My room did not have w working phone. I requested maintenance the first day but it didn't get looked at till day 2. Second night housekeeping took all my towels and it took me call on a my cell 5 times to finally get the towels. Requested both of these things on the app with no resolution.the room had dirty chairs. Cats were all over and the were gentle but it flustered me a little. My bill was incorrect but the hotel resolved it. Food was just ok. breakfast was the highlight. Noticed different treatment at certain instances. Idk if I came at an off time but idk that I would come back.

Staff and facilities were wonderful, food was excellent, musical entertainment was excellent. However, food was ridiculously expensive. There should be a snack bar with simpler, less costly lunch food like burgers. Also, housekeeping forgot to give us new towels and it took two phone calls and 45 minutes for them to be delivered. Very close to achieving an overall excellent rating.

Overall the resort was amazing. The general mgr was suppose to arrange dinner for us outside the resort. He decided to go home instead and never arranged the dinner. The other staff went above and beyond and arranged dinner reservations. I would definitely go back but I would spend extra money and get an ocean view. You only live once.

It’s a GORGEOUS resort. Built into the side of a mountain, so if you can’t walk up/down steep inclines this is not the resort for you. The all inclusive price is crazy expensive. You really need to be drinking a lot to get your money’s worth and/or eating at the steakhouse every night (which is excellent) esp bc bfast is all you can eat for all. The service in some of the other restaurants needs to be improved. Ordering lunch from the beach—also an area for improvement (a couple days it took us 1.5-2 hours to receive our food (which makes it really hard to take advantage of the all inclusive food). We never got wash cloths in our room; no fresh towels one day, no shower mat a few days. Room light started flashing so I kept it on do maid would see it needed to be fixed—it wasn’t. One day our door was left a jar! Our kids had a roll out in their room— never got blankets for it. Their phone didn’t work. This was after they had to be moved twice. Charging the room is on the honor system (as are many resorts) and there were over $600 of someone else’s charges on our room. I called resort day before arrival to ask about shuttle from airport (it’s a 1.5 hr drive to resort). They confirmed they had one and set it all up for us. But forgot to tell us it cost $125 for 4 people each way. We were there for NYE. The entertainment, food and fireworks were TOP NOTCH! This was a great experience and our teens had an amazing time but if you’re on a budget, look elsewhere.

I would not recommend this hotel, especially for the price. It is certainly not 4 stars. There is a general disorganization and lack of communication from management. We had a long wait when we arrived for our room. Then despite requesting it a week before the trip there was no crib in our room. After requesting it again at 5pm it was still not there when we returned from dinner. At 8pm we finally got the toddler to sleep in our one bed. At 9:30pm housekeeping knocked with towels, still no crib. 10pm they knocked again with towels we didn't need. At 10:40pm the crib finally arrived. Totally unacceptable. Rooms in general were not clean, floors were sandy on arrival, we never got fresh hand or face towels replenished. Only got cold water to drink in our room a few nights. The room in general was just very old and dirty, not maintained. The beach and main part of the hotel was very nice and we enjoyed days at the beach. Food was also great and 4 stars, but trying to make reservations was hard, wish I knew to make them before we arrived.
