"Our group of 7 people (3 adults and 4 kids) made a last-minute booking at Hotel Portneuvois when it had the last 2 rooms available in the Quebec City region on a fall holiday weekend. We had no idea what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Checkin was courteous and quick. Rooms were impeccably clean. Beds were warm and cozy. It is a 45-minute drive from old town Quebec, but much of the route is scenic and there are several pleasant and picturesque towns on the way for a meal etc. A great value if you are looking to stay in the region but find prices or availability in QC itself to be prohibitive."

" We hated to leave. A perfect spot to relax in comfort yet near enough to Quebec to explore the City at leisure assuming you have a vehicle. The unit has everything you’d need for a relaxing stay including the lovely grounds with beautiful hikes near the river. We had to force ourselves out to explore! It shows pride of ownership to the max! Everything is perfect down to the last detail and the owners are totally responsive . We could not have asked for a lovelier stay anywhere."

"The house is cozy and comfortable with a large kitchen. The property is gorgeous with a large backyard and wide view of the St. Lawrence river. We spent hours sitting and watching the water, talking and reading. The pharmacy and grocery are both within a quick walk and Quebec City is an easy drive. Loved it! "

"We had a wonderful time. The chalet was beautiful and exactly as pictured on the website. No surprises. Hot tub was great. Only issue was we couldn’t get the fire pit to stay lit. After a while the flame kept going out. Not sure if the tank was low or if it was user error. "

"Beautiful clean cottage, great location (within 1 hour drive from all attractions). We were a family of 6, my husband and I, our 2 kids (8 and 11) and my parents, we all enjoyed our stay. Very recommended "
