"What a little treasure this cottage is! Amazing views of the mountains and lake with great water access. Pros: Scenic views, walk-in water access (great for kids/dogs), water toys (2 kayaks, 2 SUPs, 1 canoe), lovely dock to lounge on (plenty of seating with hammocks, outdoor table, polywood chairs), firepit great for s'mores, foosball table in the basement (a hit with the kids), stocked kitchen with items you need (crock pot and the basics), beautiful vaulted ceilings in living room, enjoyable...

"The property is not maintained outside. Safety concerns for sure. Huge hole leading into dock. Sock needs to be power washed due to buildup it’s very slippery. Bricks, stones, 2x4s randomly placed trip hazards everywhere. Lawned not mowed. Trash wasn’t picked up from previous renters . Inside ok for a DIY, table unstable, plywood bench, bed support broken. There more but that says a lot"

"My husband and I stayed for a few days between Christmas and New Years. Although the weather was not ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was perfectly equipped for cooking the delicious local produce, and the bathroom was luxurious. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and we loved learning about the farm. We would look forward to staying here again or visiting the other BNB location at Smith Mountain. "The house is in a great quiet location on a little cove of Smith Mountain Lake. It is away from things enough to have privacy but still not a long drive to stores, restaurants, etc. We were in town for a family wedding at a local venue. The house was good for myself, husband, daughter and son-in-law. I chose a pet friendly house so I could bring my oldest dog with me. However the stairs inside the house were too steep and slippery for him to use safely and I would also not recommend for anyone...
