"This was our second stay at Kaldbakur. We love the location and the view! And we especially appreciate the design elements of this house. Mr Sietz is a fabulous architect/designer! We cooked all of our dinners at the house. The kitchen is sufficiently supplied but you need to bring all food items except for salt/pepper. The bed is very comfortable and the hot pot a real treat! We hope to come back again."

"We stayed during the winter (Mid Feb) and the house was perfect. The views from the property are breathtaking and we had a magical experience watching the northern lights from the hot tub every evening. Waking up to the view from the master bed overlooking the fjord was spectacular. It feels remote and peaceful, but still close enough to Akureyri for supplies, restaurants and the ski hill. It was the perfect base for exploring the northern fjords and mountains, with good hikes, natural hot...

"House was clean and very spacious. Plenty of heat and hot water. Being right on the water was wonderful. We used the hot tub almost every night. Our first night there, a pod of whales swam by while we were in the hot tub. Grenivik is a lovely location, a quiet town about half an hour from the city and all its amenities. It was a great launching point for all the local attractions. The hosts were super helpful. We left an important bag behind with laptop, passports, medication, etc. and...

"Three days in a lovely cottage, that had plenty of space for five of us, hot tub (strange that itis without the jets, but the crowd enjoyed it nonetheless), very clean, with absolutely stunning views(!). I wish there would be a kettle and a regular coffee maker. Would make our life much easier)) But we managed. Thank you for letting us stay here!"
