"A coworker and I stayed at Daddy Joe’s on a work trip. We had a really good experience and would recommend it. The building is old but updated. Rooms are really nice with WiFi, streaming tvs, good air conditioning, refrigerators, and other amenities. Bed was comfortable and water was hot. The restaurant has excellent food and good prices. Breakfast is available, but you have to order the previous day. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are expecting a stereotypical beach resort, this isn’t it. It’s a relatively small facility with no pool. There is access to a beautiful beach a short (1/4 mile) walk or drive across the street. I’ve had longer walks to the beach at large resorts. Daddy Joe’s is about a mile from the glass window bridge and even closer to the Queen’s Baths, but I’d recommend a rental car to see the island and explore. This is a great place to get away and relax. "

The pool is wonderful and so are the work out facilities and pickleball courts. Of course the best part is the wonderful beach. Softest sand and flat enough to walk for miles each day. "Totally amazing! One of my top ten favorite vacations ever. The house is comfortable and well appointed with the essentials, but really, all we needed was that deck perched above the crashing waves with views east and west down the dramatic coastline. We woke up to coffee time on the deck, came home after the day’s exploring to happy hour on the deck, followed by star gazing on the deck! We didn’t want for anything. After seeing several cute towns, by our account, Gregory Town is the most wonderful with friendly and welcoming store keepers and townspeople. Lutra is a cozy gem and we plan to come again!"
