Everything was beautiful. Had trouble with keys not working. Not very clean under furniture and beds not made when got there. Neighbors of the uphill verry loud kids screaming and dogs barking all night

MLK Stay
Nice place though right on top of the connected house. We didn’t know it had another place connected through French doors in the Master bedroom. Hard to regulate heat and the other 2 bedrooms are super small, a full bed barely fits in the room. Pics are a little misleading but I get it. About 30 mins from sunrise ski resort so that was good. Overall decent.

Things Change
Cabin was clean for the most part. But it changed from our last stay over two years ago. Outside of cabin needs work with weeds and webs. Bbq didn't work and there was a review before this stating that. Cleaning supplies were limited and had to go to office to get toilet paper and garbage bags. Inside lost its ambiance, bear skin gone along with some pictures and other skins and birds Outside porch was also different with table's and chairs gone and a picnic table placed there. Pond was low and looked dirty...i don't think there was any fish in it. Updated pictures need to be shown...don't sell something thats not up to date. We did have a great time because of the friends with us and the weather was great. Please take this review as something to make it better and not misleading.

Bottom Line... Will Stay Again... Read Review
The main lodge is very nice. However, this property is a shared space with the guest quarters. This needs to be much more clearly stated in the booking. If you want absolute privacy, this is probably not the place for you. But, wait... I would stay there again because the main lodge, location and property are so nice. The problem is that the guest quarters have too much access to what is really personal space of the main lodge rental. If, a substantial if, the persons renting the guest quarters respect your space this is not an issue at all. Again, an "if" you should be aware of. With a couple of minor modifications, the property owner could address this. Not sure why he has not. The main lodge is very nice. I will stay there again. The grounds are great and the location is super. The lodge has a well equipped kitchen and all interior spaces are nice. There is a laundry, which is a plus. This is a very nice rental. The directions given by Cabin Butler to find the lodge are TERRIBLE. Completely inaccurate. Simply go through Greer and take the left turn towards the Edelweiss. After you cross the bridge, do not go up the hill to Edelweiss. Take the single lane road to the left and follow it to the lodge. Do not follow the directions on the check in sheet. We found Cabin Butler to be awesome during our staff. Very responsive. KUDOS. Made our stay nicer. OK, bottom line... be aware that there is another rental that is kind of in your space a little.

Stay at Snover Lodge
Cabin was very nice as always. We have stayed here multiple times. The only issues we had were with the BBQ and motions Light. There is a motion light on the back deck that is very bright. Makes it quite unenjoyable to sit out during the evening to enjoy the stars. On the last night we went to BBQ and after 30 minutes it did not get hot at all, low flame. I would have called but it was 6PM on the last night. Otherwise the stay was quite nice.

Pictures are deceiving
First and foremost, you are not alone on this property!!! There are 2 rentals within the same building. Therefore, zero privacy. Second, we checked in after closing of the manager. The manager's office had the check-in directions taped to their door. Not a big deal, except the directions were horrible. We drove around for a half hour looking for the property. I accidentally found it. Third, the property is beautiful, however, the cabin benefits from careful photography. The kitchen is super small, the cabin is pretty dated and the beds are uncomfortable. At this price point, there are nicer cabins. Beware if you sleep in the smaller bedrooms, apparently, they are like mini ovens, I think all of the heat filter through them. Lastly, we did enjoy the wood burning fireplace, the living room is comfortable for 6, the restrooms are decent (no fans), the back porch is lovely and the location is a convenient walk up to the German Restaurant .

Zero Privacy
If you want to escape to the mountains to have zero privacy or respect then this is the place! Main house is attached to another rental on the property. That other property has full access to our master bedroom. The other renters went up that staircase multiple times looking right into our bedroom and trying to access our private deck. They used up their parking spaces and decided to park behind us and block our vehicles.. super uncomfortable, the management should do better to ensure peoples privacy if there going to rent like this. Much better places in Greer to stay that will accommodate their guests.

Poor description of property
We rented this lodge after viewing pictures of the entire property on VRBO. The description stated we were renting the lodge and that the stables and toy cabin were included. We arrived and explored the cabin which has a basement with bedrooms. My daughter stayed in the basement bedroom because it had more room than the spare room upstairs. Cabin Butler entered the home during our stay while we were gone and found that we had used the basement room and only then told us that the basement is an ENTIRELY separate rental property in itself. There were no signs inside or anything in the rental description on VRBO that states the basement of the lodge is a separate rental and that you may have complete strangers living in the same cabin as you during your stay. Cabin Butler stated that a family had lost out on their stay because we had used the bedroom and therefore charged us for that rental along with our original rental for the total number of days we stayed. They had a terrible attitude toward us and did not care or bother to understand that the description of the rental does not state that the basement of the cabin is completely separate and not included even though there is no barrier separating them and no sign telling you not to enter if you aren't renting it. Cabin Butler also told us the toy cabin was not included in our rental even though it was in the description when we booked. Very disappointed in the way it was handled and we are now out a large sum of money after being unfairly charged for something we knew nothing about. It should definitely state in the TOP of the rental description "Basement of lodge is a separate rental and you should expect other people to be staying in the SAME cabin as you" Make it clear that you are NOT to enter the basement unless you payed for it. We have rented many cabins over the years and have never experienced one where your shared the cabin with strangers much less not even be informed that you might have to.

Great relaxing time
Always wanted to go to Greer and this place made it what we expected. Quiet, walking distance to a few eating places but mostly just did some local hikes in the day and hung out at night. Great for family and friend time!

A beautiful secluded cabin.
Greer was beautiful! This cabin was beautiful! It was very well decorated and felt more like a resort than a rental cabin. The only down side was that there was just one thermostat for the lodge and the guest quarters and it had to be kept at a specific temperature. If you can, I'd recommend renting both spaces.
