"The night clerk was willing to accept the price for the room as it was on Expedia, however the price was $80. The night clerk explained he was not making money from a $38 rate. The room was nice and cleaned but the area outside could be cleaned up since a section of the hotel is for weekly rentals."

"I booked a room online and paid with a card at that time. There were instructions as well as an email sent to me which include check in times/office hours until 10 pm. We got there about 20 minutes before 10 pm to find the office locked. On the door, a piece of paper where the office hours had been altered by scribbling out "10pm" with a sharpie and replacing it with "9pm.""

"I had a wonderful week at this property, despite the weather not cooperating as Florida weather is supposed to. It was serene and relaxing to sit overlooking the river. I enjoyed biking, kayaking, and hiking, all with my German Shepherd. Carolyn was an excellent hostess, very attentive and easy to communicate with. St. Mark's Retreat was just what I was looking for.
