"Really liked the property. There were only 2 of us but it would have been more fun with a group. Great outdoor sitting space. It was cold and lots of extra blankets around. If you forgot something it was there for you. The only negative and it is a personal preference is there are other homes around. No one bothered us, we didn’t even see anyone. I felt perfectly safe, just a preference. The hosts were great. Called me to give me some tips to get there. Very appreciated."

"The property is older so do not expect to be a typical hotel, but then what hotel has a wood burning fireplace in the rooms and deer walking around in front of your porch. Food and drinks were good and a good atmosphere to relax and enjoy nature. Easy drive to Blacksburg for VA Tech games."

"Be sure to follow host's directions instead of GPS to avoid a one lane road. The small kitchen/living area does not have much seating, and one of the bathrooms is tiny, but was a much nicer space for 6 adults than a hotel for one night. The decor and homey touches, such as the mini cokes and brownies our host left were appreciated. It was nice to have a washer and dryer for a quick load of laundry. The master bedroom has a queen bed and full size bathroom, the other bedroom has twin beds, and the living room has a sleeper sofa. There was also an air mattress in a closet. The covered back porch and firepit area are another plus. "

"The house and the location were exactly what I was looking for. Located near Sandstone Falls and Big Branch Trail. The house is well stocked and clean. The screen porch with the view of the river is a great place to relax. Excellent 2 night stay."
