Open backyard (not fenced) with access to seasonal gardens shared across all four Wendover homes.

🏢 Off-Street Parking – Convenient parking in the back; guests enter through the kitchen. For moving trucks, park along Grayland St. and walk across the yard.

🪟 Laundry Access – A stacking washer and ventless dryer in the hall closet. Guests must:

Empty the condensation drawer into the shower after use.

Clean the lint filter.

Leave the washer door slightly open when not in use.

We are a local, non-corporate guest home rental company supporting Guilford County high school students with learning differences. By staying at The Library of Ivy and Ellie, you contribute directly to this meaningful initiative.

🛂 House Guidelines:

🚰 Flushing Policy:

ONLY flush natural waste & toilet paper.

DO NOT flush: wipes, sanitary products, diapers, or cotton items (repair fees: $100–$500).

🛋️ Linens & Towels Fees (If Damaged):

Towels: $20 each

Sheet Sets: $100 per set

Pillowcases: $25 each

Quilts/Blankets: $20–$500 (depending on item)

🛋️ Trash & Recycling:

Green can: Trash

Brown can: Recycling (NO plastic bags!)

Pickup: Mondays (except holidays)

🛌 Checkout Instructions:

Set HVAC to 68–72°F.

Remove all trash to outdoor bins.

Return all furnishings to original locations.

Report any accidental damage.

🐾 Pet Policy:

Non-refundable pet fee (based on size, number, and shed level).

Dispose of pet waste in designated trash bins.

Guide pets to non-grass areas to prevent lawn damage.

Cats: Use a containment system for litter.

House Rules for Library of Ivy and Ellie

Welcome! 🌟 Please review and follow these house rules during your stay to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience:

🐾 Pets

Pick up after pets and dispose of waste in the green trash can.

For cats, please take care to prevent spraying, clawing furniture, and litter scatter. All pet waste must be disposed of outside.

Pet-related cleaning beyond normal use is billed at $80/hour. This includes fur, waste, claw damage, or odors.

A pet fee covers one low-shed, small-to-medium pet. For multiple or high-shed pets, please consider mid-stay cleaning at $80/hour with 24 hours’ notice.

To avoid plumbing issues, do not flush the following items:

🚺 Sanitary products

🧻 Paper towels

🧴 Wipes (even “flushable” wipes)

👶 Diapers

🪥 Q-tips or cotton balls

✅ Only flush natural waste and toilet paper. Improper flushing may result in repair fees of $100–$500, billed to you.

🗑️ Trash & Recycling

Green can: Trash

Brown can: Recycling (no plastic bags; pickup every other Monday)

Gray can: Yard waste only

🗓️ Trash pickup is every Monday, with recycling every other Monday. The cans are located behind the house. While Joy and Eric typically roll the cans out, help with this is always appreciated. 🌻

🌱 Herb & Vegetable Garden

Feel free to pick herbs and vegetables when in season. Please only take what you need and leave the rest for others to enjoy. 🍅🌿

🔥 Shared Grill

The tiny house’s deck has a Weber gas grill shared by three homes. If the propane tank is empty, let us know so it can be replaced for the next guest.

🛏️ Damages to Linens & Towels

Replacement fees for damaged items are as follows:

🛁 Towels: $20 each

🛏️ Sheet sets: $100 per set

🛌 Pillowcases: $25 each

🛋️ Quilts/Blankets: $20–$500 depending on the item

🧹 Cleaning & Personal Items

Cleaning is billed at $80/hour.

Exceeding 5 hours of check-out cleaning will result in additional charges.

Personal items left behind will be removed at a fee of $100 per truckload.

🐕 Damages & Misuse

Charges may apply for the following:

Pet-related damage, including stains, scratches, or odors.

Excessive cleaning needs, such as dried spills.

Broken housewares, such as dishes or glasses.

Misuse of fixtures or amenities, including appliances or plumbing.

🛋️ Furniture & Decor

Do not rearrange furniture, lamps, or rugs.

Avoid hanging or attaching anything to the walls.

📬 Mail

Any mail sent to this address after your check-out date will be returned to sender.

Neighborly Notes

The neighbor at the corner of Hill and Wendover is Robert. He’s kind and has a creative flair for yard art. 🎨 Feel free to admire it!
