"The external appearance is very dated. However inside it is charming. Lots of original features particularly in the library and games rooms upstairs. The inside courtyard area has a charm of its own. Our room was an internal room with no external air (windows opened into internal courtyard) and so we asked for a room with external windows which we could move to. Essential given the area was experiencing a heat wave! Breakfast excellent and plentiful. "

"Sia (Tracy), is very nice and helpful. The house is a little over a mile (1.9 km) from the train station. It is an easy walk, no hills, through downtown St. Marys. You can take a bus (no. 771) to/from the train station. The stop is 1 block from the house, but the bus only runs once an hour. There are 2 grocery stores less than a 10 minute walk away (Aldi and Woolworths). They are conveniently on the way to/from the train station. The house is located on the edge of town. North, south and west...

"My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Valley of the Waters B&B. The view was incredible, it was neat and tidy and Marty was so kind and welcoming! Would definitely stay here again. "

"When we arrived we met the host Sia. She was so nice and easy to get along with. She upgraded our stay to a 2 bedroom apartment due to plumbing issues in our booked studio room. The apartment was undergoing renovations but this wasn't a problem at all. Everything we needed was there. The apartment was clean and spacious and the price was fantastic. . We were within walking distance to all shops (5 min) as well as public transport. Sia was fantastic and I would highly recommend this property."

"Everything ok if a budget stay suits, which it did for me. Room & bathroom were fine. Sadly my bedroom smelt of someone else’s b.o. Breakfast: marmalade in abundance! Other supplies were a little lacking tbh & the host sniffing the long life skim milk on my arrival probably wasn’t the best look. I found another little full cream but had long expired. Overall you probably get what you pay for, not great but not the worst either. "

"Very quiet at the end of the road. The cockatoos were loud in the morning and just before they went to bed at night. A simple one kilometer walk to the fish and chip shop in Saint Mary's, that was good food too, especially the scalloped potatoes that are sliced thinly battered and then deep fried like a piece of fish. I love them."

"Lovely accommodation in a peaceful and private setting. It is a short drive to Kurrajong village to cafes and boutiques. The premises was well stocked with breakfast items including hot and cold choices. Hosts were easily contactable and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay."

"Lovely property very close to Leura shops, pretty gardens"

"Although not in the heart of Katoomba or Leura, the B&B was still close to where we wanted to go. Our Hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast (cold & hot) was ample and delicious."

"Sipha and John are excellent hosts, Katoomba Manor is luxury away from the stress of the city. The total atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the hosts are gracious friendly and very accommodating. The cooked breakfast is delicious and filling. We have no problems recommending a weekend stay here and will return again in the near future. 5 stars......."

"Rustic Spirit is a magical place to unplug and slip into the tranquility of this property. The privacy of the chalet, the spa and the outlook make this place something special. The daily breakfast that is included was amazing especially the Rosti! The hosts are lovely and we’re a great source of local information and the on-site massage was amazing This place is a must if you looking for a bush-mountain experience without all the hustle and bustle of Katoomba. "Very eclectic and quirky hotel, with rooms just as much so. Truly loved it! Super comfy bed and divine smelling bathroom products, eminent of the Australian bush. Attached to the Blacktown drive in cinema which is a unique and fun attraction. The Royal Cricketer’s Arms hotel next door is a great option for dining out. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is even more unique, it has so much character. Truly a memorable stay. Would return! Only ranked the service as average as I found the reception staff to be lacking in energy and not the friendliest, but understandable for this time of year. No complaints otherwise. "
