"Really nice place with easy access to Croft Circuit. Room was clean, spacious and well designed. Quality bar/restuarant - which pay for. Note there is no breakfast service and Sunday dinner service finishes 5pm - there are no alternatives in this village, so you need to plan for that. Overall, happy to stay there again if I go to Croft again!"

"Surprised by joy! I was looking for a bargain for a business trip & found it at the Boot & Shoe - in Spades! A pretty ordinary, traditional facade fronts an open but still traditional bar area. It's definitely a pub with rooms - & what rooms! My double was large, with views out onto the market square. It had easy chairs, coffee maker plus a kettle, if preferred. "An old farm house, located directly on a crossroads, with views over the countryside. The room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable. It was more a guest house than a B&B, with the main rooms, including the kitchen, available to everyone. Guests avail themselves of supplies and facilities to make their own breakfast. Host was friendly and welcoming."

"Fantastic little find and will definitely stay again. I would highly recommend this little gem of a place with such friendly staff. The wee lodges were epic. My only criticism was not knowing the wee pub across the road, the Stavely Arms isnrun by the same team, as we would have dinner there had we known. The breakfast was epic, and the bed was super comfy. Well worth the money we spent both on the accomodation and in the bar."

"Lovely quirky place with a very friendly, helpful manager. Our room was OK, rather basic but overall nice and clean. There are no breakfast facilities so it means a drive into Yarm - tho it's a really lovely town. The pub is very close by and does do evening meals. "
