Guana Beach Inn - A quaint 8 room Inn in the heart of Great Guana Cay - located directly on the sand at the Sunset Beach (Sea of Abaco) next to Grabbers Bar and Restaurant. This place is famous for its incredible sunsets! Each unit at the Inn has direct ocean views! Each unit is slightly different in size and setup and each unit has its unique decor and are individually named with a reference from the area. The bottom floor offers 4 suites with either king or queen size beds and with or without sleeper sofas. You will also find a patio in front of each of these units with seating overlooking the beach and ocean. The 4 top floor units are accessed by 1 flight of stairs and an exterior walkway. These units are slightly larger than the bottom units and offer balconies with individual seating. Here you will find all king-size beds and sleeper sofa. All units at the Guana Beach Inn provide private bathrooms with showers, free Wi-Fi, Mini Fridge, Microwave, Keurig Coffee maker, split ac units and room darkening blinds. The Inn also has its own backup Generator. The Inn sits right on the sand on the Sunset Beach – Sea of Abaco. You may find comfortable lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment. Right next door to the Inn is the Grabbers Bar where a refreshing beverage or great food may be enjoyed. Grabbers also houses a pool and beach toys such as kayaks and beach games for its guests. The Atlantic Beach is also just a short distance away where pink sand stretches for 5,5 miles. From the Guana Beach Inn you are walking distance to the main restaurants/bars on the island: Grabbers, Nippers and Kid’s Cove as well as the smaller sandwich shops, liquor store, convenience store, ferry dock and golf cart rental place. Great Guana Cay is an islet in The Bahamas. It is a long, narrow islet, 7 miles long. It is in the center of the Abaco Islands. It is about 8 miles from Marsh Harbour. Approximately 150 people live on the island, mostly along the five and a half mile long stretch of beach. Great Guana Cay's settlement is known for its loyalist culture and architecture, as well as its social scene. Several traditional loyalist homes are in the settlement, which wraps around a natural harbor. Great Guana Cay is also the home for the private Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club. Visitors to Great Guana Cay most often take advantage of the short distances between the surrounding cays and enjoy some great boating and fishing, island hopping, snorkeling, diving and dining. Other well-known places to visit in the vicinity is Treasure Cay, “No Name Cay” – aka Piggy Island, and Elbow Cay among others. How to get here: Take your private boat and anchor right in front of the Inn, or dock first come first serve at the public harbour dockage just a short walk away from Guana Beach Inn. There is also the option of taking the ferries from Marsh Harbour (where you will find the Leonard M. Thompson International Airport - MHH) that will bring both you and your luggage to and from the smaller island with an extensive schedule.
