"Very well renovated, cosy cottage with lots of nice original features. Some interesting walks from the village but other than that not much there to do. But short drives (about 30 mins) to many lovely places to visit. Great communication from owner. Upstairs bedrooms very luxurious but downstairs bedroom a bit cramped. Really lovely welcome basket. "I would have given this five stars but it is extremely expensive to stay in this house and while we were actually quite happy to not have Wifi or indeed phone reception, we were frustrated and disappointed to be told we couldn't use the superior Wifi connection in the café. There should be somewhere to download things and send the odd email for half an hour with a decent connection. "

"This a nice little house in Alferton, it was great for myself, a friend and my large dog. It was well equipped and comfortable. It was a little dated upstairs and there was no photos of details of the bedrooms but they were clean and well catered. My friend who stayed in the back room noted the boiler (which is in that room) is very noisy and kept her up but that wouldn’t bother some people.
