"We used Granville as our hub to explore the Normandy area in France. We rented a car and stayed at Hotel des Bains for five nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We had our adult son along so we book the "Superior Family Room side sea view" which was excellent. Our son had his own area with a privacy curtain. Our balcony looked over the sea. We had a great stay."

"This hotel is situated above the main area of the seaside so it's a walk either up or down quite a steep hill to get to restaurants and shops- good for keeping fit! The staff were excellent and helpful but we had to change our room when the shower broke which meant we were moved to a smaller room. That spoilt our stay a bit as we had a lot of luggage and stuff."

No reply received to 4 messages sent to the owner over a 4 week period until the day before we arrived. 2. Only 1/4 of a toilet roll provided. 3. We had to make up the bed. 4. "The hosts, Christian and Catherine, were so kind and friendly - really great people! We appreciated the quiet location that was close to the beach (5 min walk), close to downtown Granville, and not too far from Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and the Normandy beaches. All the rooms were clean and comfortable. Since we stayed here for a month, we also appreciated having a full kitchen with all the necessary cooking items available and having a washing machine. The gîte does not have its own internet...
