The Venue at Three Points - Meme's House

There was nothing like spending a night or weekend at grandma’s house growing up. Eating all the ice cream we could want, staying up late watching old movies, snuggling up in quilted throws, running up and down the long hallways, and skipping rocks in the pond outside. This cottage instantly takes you and your guests back to those days by breathing new life into a few retro furnishings and antique decorations that scream that unmistakable grandmillian style.

Canton Trade Days Stay
Our annual trip to Canton for shopping was great and this adorable farmhouse was the perfect place to stay for our group. Can’t wait to come back. Our host had everything perfect. The house had such southern charm.

Perfect getaway
The house was adorable it had all of the charm with all of the modern day conveniences. We had 4 adults and 6 children ranging from 15-4 and everyone had enough room and sleeping arrangements worked out perfect. The kids LOVED the outdoor play area and we spent a lot of time by the fire pit. My only piece of advice would be not to click on the link for directions because it brings you a mile past the property. Put in the physical address and you should be fine.

Property great for family gatherings if you need more than one cabin
This was a change from city life! Great place for a family gathering, especially with smaller children. The property has several cabins with a centralized gathering picnic, playground, smoker/grill area - we actually smoked a brisket while there! Note: if grilling you need to bring charcoal. There was more than one fire pit and a great wood pile, we loved having a campfire, plus we didn't need lawn chairs as there were chairs all over. We had 2 children under 5 who really enjoyed the playground and our grandson had a blast catching catfish in one of the two ponds. The fact that we were able to bring our dogs was key and there was plenty of area for them to run around. It was a 10 min drive to the grocery store and about 25 min to Canton if going to First Monday. It was also 5 min away from the East TX Alligator Zoo so that was a quick trip and fun for kids. The host was very friendly and responsive and worked with us on our requests. The kitchen was well stocked, so you do not need to bring any dishes, pots, pans, etc. and the refrigerator kept things cold, it was a bit on the smaller side. Unfortunately there is not a dishwasher or garbage disposal. The water pressure was good in the bathrooms as well. The porch was great to sit on at night. There could be some improvements. There were several spiders, etc. in the home, a big piece of that was because there isn't much of a seal around the doors. The beds were pretty uncomfortable; the furniture was dated and I think the beds were from that same time period. There could also be some fine tuning on their cleaning process. We had 5 adults, 2 kids & 3 dogs so it was cramped in the main living space with a 6 person table right as you walked in. It is quiet and rustic so if you are looking for more of a cabin/camping feel this place is for you. We would consider staying here again.

A little too rustic for the money
Given the cost of the property, we expected a higher level property. It was a cute farmhouse but very old. The toilet in the main bathroom was broken and there were lots of spiders in the house. The location was OK but for the money, I think there are probably better options in the area.

Weekend getaway with family
This property is excellent for kids as it has a little playground, 2 fishing spots and a really cool patio for grilling or smoking your food. They have a tv outside and fridge so you can relax outside as the kids play and food is cooking. The owners are very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable!

Stay in Grand Saline
Overall nice place. We stayed there a few years ago when it was run by somebody else. Take bottled water when going as the water is from a well and smells slightly of sulfur I’m guessing and the internet is adequate. We would stay there again.
