The Bear's Den At Sweet Dreams Overlook

Welcome to The Bear's Den! A cozy and comfortable one-room suite complete with the sights and sounds of Lake Superior. Additional information, reservations, and units are available for VRBO viewers on our website SWEETDREAMSOVERLOOK. VRBO has made some updates to their software and are still working on notifications. If possible, please reserve through the website to avoid confusing communications that are not feeding properly from my website. It's conveniently located just minutes away from the incredible small & culture-filled town of Grand Marais, MN, the Superior Hiking Trail, along with biking and ski trails. In addition, it is only about 30 minutes away from Lutsen Ski Resort and Superior National Golf Course. There is shopping, dining, live music/arts ...all along the shore of Lake Superior! A variety of events are scheduled throughout the year in and around Grand Marais. Enjoy free high-speed internet, a smart TV (but no cable), a mini-fridge, microwave, dishes and utensils, coffee, and coffee maker along with a large private bathroom (complete with a revitalizing soaking/jetted tub and separate shower). This lovely suite was recently updated and remodeled and you'll certainly enjoy its charm, cleanliness, and convenience to amenities the North Shore and Grand Marais have to offer. It is similar in style to a studio apartment as it is located in the lower level of a single-family home and has a private entrance. The upper level is occupied by the owner who is on hand for any questions or requests. There is no direct lake access. E-bikes are available to rent this summer!

Delightful stay near the big lake
We stayed at Bear's Den for a long weekend and visited along Gunflint Trail and in Grand Marais. It was very comfortable and convenient. We especially appreciated the jacuzzi and the terrific porch.

We found the Bear’s Den to be perfectly located-easy drives to all the sites on the North Shore. You can see the lake through the woodlands from the deck. The property is very comfortably appointed and meticulously clean. Very enjoyable stay!

Perfect Stay if you're heading to Gran Marais
This Vrbo was absolutely fantastic! My partner and I were looking for something on the less expensive side for our anniversary trip, and this was the perfect option for us! The room was spacious, clean and had anything you could think of for a "hotel" stay. The owner truly went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed for your stay. There was even a book that listed fun things and places to eat around town. That was super helpful as we had never stayed in Grand Marais. The jet tub was awesome and great after long hikes! We will absolutely be staying here again when we visit!

More than average space and unusually clean. Shower stall a little small for a large person, but fine for us. Hostess very pleasant, patient and helpful, though didn't seem very familiar with local restaurants. Quiet pleasant setting. Parking very convenient. Would certainly recommend. Oh, bring your own coffee creamer.

We had a lovely stay at the Bears den. Cozy studio in the woods and Tina was very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and well kept. It's hard to determine from the online listing, but this room is connected to the larger Wolfs Den rental unit.

This is a reasonably-nice, hotel-room-like, minimalist place I guess. We didn't use the one notable feature, the big bathtub. I just don't really have much to say about it. It did the job.

Clean, pleasant stay. Less than 5 min to beautiful Grand Marais. Many hiking, biking, skiing trails in the area. Lake Superior view. Owner made sure linens were laundered with fragrance free detergent and without dryer sheets as one of us is allergic. Scenic hwy. 61 noise could not be heard indoors but inevitable outdoors. Didn’t really bother us.
