This private two bedroom, one bath apartment spans the entire east side of the house, front to back, with harbor views from every room. An original harbor side home, renovated with modern decor, with a feel that is both vintage and fresh. Situated on a corner lot on the harbor with a spacious yard perfect for campfires, games, relaxing in the hammock, and simply watching the world go by.
Ideal as a home base for exploring the North Shore,
and as a sanctuary from which to contemplate the Big Lake, which is spectacular in all seasons.

Great location on the Grand Marais lakefront - really nice view and convenient. Communication was excellent and the place was just what we wanted for hanging out between hikes and outings. Would definitely stay again!

A Great Destination
Very comfortable and well appointed. Fantastic view of Lake Superior right out of our front window. Owner is super nice and met us when we arrived. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops in Grand Marais. A great location.

Such a sweet spot
Host was really helpful and accomodating from start to finish. The location is perfect. They really went the extra mile with fresh flowers on the table and fresh local coffee grounds.

Perfect little stay
This is the perfect cozy little house for a getaway to Grand Marais. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Everything was very clean and the host was very responsive to any questions or requests. The Fika coffee by the coffee pot was the perfect finishing touch.

We enjoyed our stay in Grand Marais and the house was perfect for us. We could easily walk to enjoy the shops in restaurants in Grand Marais. The view from the front window was perfect and we enjoyed using the fire pit.

Such a perfect, cozy spot overlooking the harbor and RIGHT ACROSS from North House Folk School! We had everything we needed, including cozy bathrobes.

Lovely place, incredible location
We had a wonderful stay - everything was very clean and comfortable (great beds!) and we had everything we needed. The beautifully laid fire in the fire pit was a great touch and we really enjoyed it. The location is unbeatable, with an incredible view. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best we have stayed on the North Shore. Great amenities, loved the automatic shades ! Also close to the lake and all of downtown Grand Marais is within walking distance. Would stay again, possibly next fall again.

Everything about this home is perfect! The accommodations are very comfortable. Everything we needed was there, including bathrobes! The location can’t be beat - blocks to downtown, across the street from Angry Trout Cafe, Java Moose and North House Folk School. And, the view of the lake, stunning! This place is a 10.

Great quaint cottage
Great location and communication with property manager. Beautiful cottage. Only downfall is having to go through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom. Ok being it was family but privacy was limited.

Wonderful Host, Great Location
The location is excellent! The host is wonderful! The house was very clean and comfortable. The host provided coffee and a bottle of sparkling water as well as a lot of little extras to make the stay enjoyable. The only negatives were the road noise and truck fumes that sometimes came in through the open windows facing the street during the day. The house was also quite warm since there is no air conditioning. The host did provide fans to help with the heat. We enjoyed our stay!! Thank you!

Cozy spot
We had a wonderful stay. Knowing that the temperatures would dip below zero, our host put flannel sheets on the beds. This rental was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for. Too cold for a fire this time but next time I would love to sit by the fire and enjoy the beautiful view!
