Lemmon Lodge Riverfront Cabin #12 with Private Beach on Grand Lake!

Our cabin, affectionately named Moose Haven, is a beautiful and centrally located property in Lemmon Lodge. Recently updated with all new furnishings and remodeled bathrooms, it is the perfect place to create lasting memories year after year. Listen to the Tonahutu River babble while reading, fishing, or enjoying a meal. Watch the sunset over Mount Baldy. A short walk away, stroll along the Grand Lake boardwalk and peruse the shops or grab a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants.

In the summer, rent a kayak, paddle board or a pontoon boat to enjoy a day out on the lake. Go fishing at the point in Lemmon Lodge or fly fish in the river out the back door! In the evening, enjoy dinner at the cabin or a walk into town and enjoy any of the great local restaurants. Play badminton, volleyball, or horseshoe on the grounds. You can even kayak from our property to the fantastic Historic Rapids Lodge and enjoy a wonderful meal. After dinner, take in a show at our award-winning Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater. Get an ice cream cone at Grand Lake Chocolates or Miyauchi's Snack Bar while watching the stars glisten on the lake.

Winter? Grand Lake is a WINTER WONDERLAND! Perfect for snow activities, including snowmobiling and ice fishing. There is a free skating rink in the lake with boots available for free rental. Granby Ranch is a 35 minute drive away and is perfect for the novice to intermediate skier or snowboarder. The famous and expansive Winter Park Ski Area is a 55 minute drive away. Hiking, cross-country skiing, and snow shoeing available on the numerous nearby trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake is considered one of the best snow mobile places in the country, with rentals nearby. Grand Lake is also known for it's ice fishing. The fantastic Grand Lake Golf Course has been touted as one of the prettiest and it doubles as a cross-country ski area for those who prefer groomed trails to making your own.

Great location
It was a great property to be close to our friends in Lemmon Lodge. We enjoyed our stay. We would stay again, but the price is astronomical.

Great family getaway
Our family of five had a wonderful time at Moose Haven over Spring Break! The cabin was absolutely darling, with such great attention to detail, comfortable beds, and well appointed kitchen. The kids had a great time with all the board games that were available, and we enjoyed the quick walk to town. We will definitely visit again!

Perfect place to enjoy Grand Lake!
We absolutely LOVED everything about our stay. The house was clean and well equipped with everything you could need for a fun and relaxing stay. The location is just perfect! My kids enjoyed the kayaks with the private beach and playground. It truly was a dream getaway!! Thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise with us!!

We had a great time at this cozy cabin by the River connected to grand Lake, it’s peaceful, and yet you can walk a few hundred yards down the street and be right downtown where all the amenities and food and people the Music were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay here at grand Lake. Thank you so much.

Great location, beautifully decorated and the wildlife! Enjoyed watching the moose, chipmunks and tiny grey squirrels. Short walk to stores, restaurants and lake. Very close to hiking, snow shoeing and snowmobiling areas. So fun!

Great family cabin
Although we spent little time in the cabin, it was comfortable and clean. The room with the bunk bed is perfect to put all your kids in while the parents can get their own master with a porch overlooking the river. It was really nice to have all the Keurig cups available for coffee in the morning. While we were there in the summer, it looks like it would be really cozy for fall and winter getaways.

Great location fabulous owner, so greatly appreciate going every year!! As a cancer patient, it’s a great gift to be able to go on vacation and Grandlake is beautiful! Would appreciate if one of the larger beds was not a foam mattress, they are hot and uncomfortable ,but we made do and hope someday they go back to a classic style of mattress…. This cabin is our family tradition and it is absolutely lovely!!

Private natural setting
From this quiet cabin we had some nice walks along the stream and out onto a small peninsula which juts into and looks out onto the lake. We enjoyed the short walk into town and to the nearby beach which is a perfect location to view the Saturday evening fireworks show which marks the end of the annual Grand Lake US Constitution Week activities. The owner, Calvin Ames, is very responsive and friendly. He always got back to us promptly, usually within a few minutes, whenever we had a suggestion or request. We will be returning again next year.

Incredible July Week at Moose Haven
This is our second annual vacation at Lemmon Lodge and first at Moose Haven. "Perfect" is the only way to describe our accommodations. Moose Haven is a beautiful, well-appointed home with abundant amenities. We had plenty of space for 2 children, 2 parents and 2 grandparents. Moose Haven is situated in an ideal Lemmon Lodge location and was the envy of many nearby neighbors. The caretaker and hosts did an incredible job of making us feel welcome, and we hope to return with our family again in the summer of 2019. Thank you for an incredible week. B&B.

Perfect Place
This cabin is the perfect place to get away. The lake is picture perfect and the locals are so nice! We were there in the "off season" and that's the way to go if you don't like crowds, or live in a touristy spot already like we do. My only comment would be to put a warning about the altitude on the information you ready when booking. At 8,300 ft, a lot of visitors from other states may have issues adjusting (I did). If there was a warning when I booked, I would have planned to spend a day in Denver before heading up that high. I would highly recommend this to families, couples, or even friends that want to unplug and enjoy nature!! (But there is good cell service if you want it)
