Gorgeous Grand Ave Home-Beautiful Deck Views of Mtns. & Lake!! Walk to downtown!

We are one mile from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park! Our home is on Grand Ave., directly in the heart of Grand Lake. Within walking distance to downtown Grand Lake. Stunning views of the lake and mountains that sit directly across from our deck. It's so beautiful you may not want to leave the house! Five private bedrooms and three bathrooms. Kids love to sleep in the loft area! We host lots of family reunions with 15+ people and had plenty of room. The deck is our favorite spot to grill out and enjoy the views! It is a stunning drive from Denver to Grand Lake. The Grand Lake Nordic Center offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, and they are extremely affordable. There are some great restaurants in downtown Grand Lake. Lots of quaint gift shops and artisan shops, museums, and plenty of culture. Hiking is at it's best at Grand Lake. You can hike many trail heads and the Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce offers free maps of the trails in the area. Adams Falls is a short hike from downtown but leads to a gorgeous waterfall. We took a nine-mile hike this summer to LuLu City and saw some awesome scenery and amazing wildlife. You won't want to forget your camera! The Lakes in Grand Lake include Grand Lake (the largest Natural Lake in Colorado), Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby. We have rented paddleboats on Grand Lake and they were so much fun! They also have an annual sailing competition in August. In the winter months you can ice fish and they have several tournaments in Grand County. The Grand Lake library is amazing! It is a huge log library with a beautiful fireplace to sit and read by. There are at least six computers that offer free internet access. They also offer free movie rentals and CD rentals. My family and I have spent many hours there since we bought this property years ago. If you are looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind this is it! We are only 45 miles via Trail Ridge to Estes Park and it is an amazing, breathtaking, drive! Estes Park is a beautiful town with tons of gift shops and a great downtown area to shop in. We enjoy visiting Estes but love returning to the quieter side of Grand Lake. The Rocky Mountain Rep. Theatre is world-renowed for the talent that they recruit. In 2011 they moved into their new $10 million dollar facility in downtown Grand Lake. It is stunning and the acoustics are amazing! Our entire family went to watch a performance there and had a great time! Whether you want to relax and hang out, hike and see wildlife, shop and eat out, fish or hunt, ski or play golf, Grand Lake truly is an amazing place & somewhere you will want to come back to time and time again. The house is fully equipped and all you need to bring are your clothes. The rest is ready for you to enjoy.

Fantastic mountain property
This home is perfectly situated close to many activities! It has a beautiful Mountain View but still easily accessible. It’s close to a market with most everything you need, a cute shopping area, lakes, skiing… we even stopped at a local hot spring for a day! Highly recommend this house!

Great Stay
Had a great Thanksgiving stay - House was as advertised, easy walk to town, although a bit too far for our 80+yo family member. But an easy drive back and forth as well. Plenty of room for all 9 of us, and Janet was very helpful with the one minor issue we had. Would stay here again.

A Great Vacation Home

4-Generation Family Vacation
The view from the deck was spectacular. The open kitchen/dining room/living room allowed us all to be together when we prepared and ate our meals. We inadvertently turned off our wifi, and the host was quick and gracious in helping us restart it. We had ample space to park 4-5 vehicles. The listing included a picture of a fire pit, but the fire pit must have been removed. This did not detract from our stay at all. We appreciated the reasonable cleanup expectations at departure. We were told to enjoy our stay, and we did! We would stay there again if we return to Grand Lake.

Family Christmas
Stayed here over Christmas with a big group. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved that they had two pack and play’s available and that there was a Christmas tree up. It was a beautiful spot. The only problem we had was the heat. Some spots in the house were really, really cold ( loft and basement) and some were uncomfortably hot. ( master and living room.) Was a great stay!

Christmas Cabin
My family, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews all stayed at this house as a Christmas get away! The house is in a great location to town! The house has plenty of bedrooms and beds to accommodate large groups. But beware of the big bill when you are getting to the cabin as it is very steep and if you don’t have good tires you won’t get up! But the mountain market will let you park there if needed!

Loved the house and Grand Lake!
The house was perfect for our family reunion! The view from the deck is awesome, it's a nice large deck so we gathered there often. VERY spacious bedrooms and living area, we had 12 adults and 2 children and we weren't cramped or on top of each other at all. Furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay again for sure! The owner was great to work with, very prompt in responses when I was trying to work out details. Thank you Janet for sharing your house with us!

Beautiful Home
We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Grand Lake. It was perfect as we wanted 5 separate sleeping rooms for our party of 5 couples. The couple that stayed in the loft loved their beautiful winter morning views. The home is very nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The only issue was that one of the basement bedrooms was quite cold and the other one was very warm. The couple staying in the warm room tried to shut the vent but were unable to.

Lovely home w gorgeous views
Well laid out home with plenty of space! Nice sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. The home had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The large deck was super inviting for outdoor eating and hanging out - very nice views of Grand Lake! Oh - and the PAC Man game was an unexpected bonus for the kids. Very fun. We had a wonderful stay and our host was very accommodating to a couple special requests. She was very nice and was prompt with replying to any questions we had. The only thing I would say is that, although one can walk downtown from this location, it’s not a short walk…. But it’s a quick drive! I’d stay here again if visiting Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park!

Wonderful views!!!
We came to Grand Lake for a short family vacation with four other families, each family had there own bedroom with plunty of space for kids in both living areas. Nice kitchen we were able to make all meals and not have the expense of eating out. The views from the deck are beautiful and it's a short walk to the grocery store. Down town wasn't to far either! The only thing that I would recommend is having some board games or puzzles for kids to do on the rainy days. Other wise it was a wonderful place to stay! The Miller Families

Great house for a big group
This was an ideal house for several couples/friends in Grand Lake for a long weekend for a friends wedding. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep and plenty of bathrooms to not seem too crowded. The deck is the best feature about this place. This is where we spent the majority of our time when we were at the house. More outside deck seating would be nice. Amazing views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. This property is walking distance to downtown Grand Lake which was very convenient. Also a very nice washer and dryer for guests to use. My only suggestion is to provide a bigger trash can in the kitchen and more seating out on the deck to enjoy those gorgeous views.

Perfect for our large group!
This place is wonderful. We had 5 adults and 6 kids (ages 2 - 11). This place fit us all COMFORTABLY. The deck is spacious and has a beautiful view of the lake, the adults ate meals out there while the kids ate inside. The house was equipped with everything we needed - playpen, highchair, baby gate, washing/drying machines, coffee makers, cooking utensils, basic spices, dishes and towels enough for our clan, and much more. Janet was extremely responsive to all of our questions and helped QUICKLY when we had discovered we had forgotten something. I really can't say enough great things about this home and its owner, five stars doesn't even begin to describe it! We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Janet!!

Had a great time in Grand Lake
The house was perfect for our family get together. Nicely furnished, within walking distance of downtown and the lake, great views. The owners were very responsive to texts when we had questions. We had a great time reconnecting with family; the one drawback was that we were between ski season and summmer season so all of the local activities (horseback riding, go carting, etc.) were closed as well as a lot of the businesses downtown. We will plan better next time. The house was very well appointed with one exception... there was not enough flatware for even 8 people much less 15. Fortunately the market was just across the street so we were able pick up plastic ware without having to go very far. Also we couldn't find a cutting board in the kitchen.

Amazing spacious home!
This home exceeded our expectations in so many ways! We had 15 people (10 adults and 5 children) in our group and had plenty of space and areas for privacy for those that had to get work done or children that had to nap. The view and location are amazing! We spent a 3 day weekend playing games, boating, walking to town and hiking, and just hanging out together. This was a perfect space. There are folding chairs that can be moved to the big table and seating outside as well as at an island so we could all be somewhat together that way while eating. The kitchen is pretty well stocked although since we ate most meals there and were a huge group, we could have used larger pans and cookie sheets and things like whisk, more wine glasses, etc, but for the most part it was great! There were spices, coffee filters, and even Keurig cups available! All beds were super comfortable and even upstairs loft room was very quiet with people downstairs. There was an extra mattress available for the room with bunks that I don’t think was listed. It fit on the floor and was perfect for the teenage brother to sleep on and not with a sibling- ha! There are sample shampoos and body washes enough for everyone and plenty of towels. The host was incredibly easy to get in touch with and the check in was totally smooth. We loved our stay and would definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Everything was wonderful!! Beautiful view!!
We loved staying here we didn't even need to bring much. It was fully prepared with everything! It was way better than staying at a hotel. This was our first winter vacation and it will be a memorable one! With the amazing view alone we all want to go back. We were 4 families for a total of 14 and everyone loved the location, views and snow! It snowed the last night we were there into the next morning before we! It was awesome!! There were just a few things that might need a little improvement but not big things. We were so many that the hot water did not last. Some would take showers at night and others in the morning even then you still might be taking a cold shower. Oh if someone is going to sleep in the basement sofa bead it gets pretty chilly in there. Maybe the door to the outside needs to be sealed so no air gets in. Other than those small things this rental was perfect. We were near everything! We went to the Grand Lake Nordic Center which was 10 min away and it was free to go tubing and skiing, they take donations. We bought some small round sleds for the kids while we were out there and we left them there at the rental for future vacationers! The Grand Lake shops were nice to walk through and there were restaurants we ate at Pacifico Mexican restaurant it was pretty good. We walked on the frozen Grand Lake too! The longest trip we did was to Winter Park which was 40+min but it was worth it and we spent the whole day there. I could go on and on about how much we were able to do while staying in Grand Lake. Overall we loved staying here and will return to this rental our whole family fell in love with this home it's now our winter home!
