Enjoy the dog days of summer from the large deck that has an amazing, million-dollar view of Lake Michigan! Happy Indeed! That is what you will be at Happe House.

Happe House B: No better viewing spot of Lake Michigan and the Lighthouse than from the deck of this home across from the Grand Haven State Park Beach! The beach is only 250 ft away. The perfect place for friends and family to gather, relax, and make memories.


INSIDE
The lower level apartment features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a spacious kitchen, and a comfortable living room and dining area. Enjoy the expansive view of Lake Michigan through the two sliding glass doors off of the living room. The kitchen comes fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, cooking utensils, and all standard appliances. There is a TV in the living room with cable, and the internet is provided as well. Sorry, there is no washer or dryer in this unit.

Have a larger party but still want to enjoy those incredible views? We have a solution! This three-story home called "Happe House Apt A - VRBO# 4376623," features an apartment that rents separately from the house. The upper level features five bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, large living & dining space with a large deck overlooking Lake Michigan. If available, the home and apartment can be rented together for additional living space for larger groups.

This unit sleeps 6. All bed and bath linens are provided.

OUTSIDE
The private, expansive deck is a great spot to relax and take in the gorgeous Lake Michigan sunsets. There is patio furniture and a gas grill available for your use. Parking is provided for two vehicles right up by the house.

PARKING
You will be provided with 2 parking spaces that are labeled "B".

THE LOCATION
Happe House perched in the dune across from the Grand Haven State Park and Beach. It's the first house on the hill, so nothing is blocking your view. Walk across the street and you're at the beach, or head down the boardwalk along the channel to check out the downtown area. Downtown Grand Haven is only 1 mile away and features lots of great restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, toy stores, and more.

If you're looking for a family-friendly location, this is it. All of these opportunities are available around the area: charter fishing, trolley rides, splash pad, playgrounds, nightly musical fountain, worship on the waterfront, art fairs, parades, festivals, the list could go on and on.

CANCELLATION POLICY
-100% refund (minus a VRBO service fee) if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
-50% refund (minus a VRBO service fee) if you cancel at least 14 days before check-in.
-No refund if you cancel less than 14 days before the reservation date.

There are no refunds for early departures, reduction of nights rented, or delayed arrivals due to inclement weather or any other factor. Please consider trip insurance to protect your investment.

This property is locally managed by BVW Unsalted Vacations Property Management in Holland, MI. We provide a starter kit of paper products, toiletries, hospitality-grade linens and much more.

Check-in is a breeze; drive straight to your rental and let yourself in with a unique lock code. We'll send you all the information you need including directions, access code, and instructions so you'll be ready to rest, relax and rejuvenate!

Great View
Private deck was the highlight. Proximity to the beach and view can’t be beat. Bathroom is a little tight and the ceilings are a little low in unit B but still a solid value all things considered. Would definitely stay again.

Great spot for the weekend
My family had a great time staying at this cabin. The location cannot be beat. It’s right by a beautiful beach and my wife loves places with a great view and this one has a great view, we were lucky to view a couple of sunsets off the deck. The beds were a little on the smaller side which can be hard for taller people like me, but it was good enough. Overall, it was great and my family had a great time.

Great Family Beach Vacation
My wife and 4 kids thoroughly enjoyed the place. It is so nice to be near the beach. You can actually watch your kids walk all the way to the water. The breeze keeps the bugs away. We are going to come back.

Family of five. Four days and three nights. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. It’s about a 1 mile walk to the downtown “touristy” areas.

Great place
Perfect location just across the street from the beach and a short drive to necessities. Loved the view from the back deck. The home is bright and clean and suited the three of us perfectly. The only small drawback was being able to hear the renters above walking around at times. But we would definitely stay there again.

Great view!
The cottage was in an exceptional location. It was just as described. The front porch is all you need to relax. It was extremely hot during our stay, but the Happe House Apt B was nice and cool. If you rent Apt B, know you will hear the people above you walking around. If you are a light sleeper or that type of noise bothers you, rent the Apt A. The fire alarm woke us up two mornings, going off for no apparent reason. This was not the fault of the owners and I am sure the rental Company will take care of it. Parking is clearly marked. If you are tall (6’3” or taller) you will have to duck in several spots as the ceiling work is low. Overall it was an amazing place to stay and we enjoyed sharing this clean, comfortable, and beautiful place.

Overlooking the beach
This cottage is beautifully situated across from the Grand Haven State Park beach. The unit is spacious and has a beautiful deck. We enjoyed the ample seating inside and outside. House is only about a 20 minute walk to downton. Renters should be prepared to hear plenty of noise from the people in the apartment above. Also, kitchen is stocked with some basics for dining, but could really use a knife block with a small selection of knives. Lots of dull paring knives, but nothing to cut bread or meat.

Great but could use some updates
Over all the accommodations were very nice. It was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the location fabulous and the check in/check out was clear and seamless. I was a little sad to see the table and chairs in the dining room were on the verge of falling apart, we were afraid to use them. The couch had sections with deep drop offs to the bottom. I would suggest replacing these items. It would make this a perfect VRBO rental. Thank you.

Great Access to Lake Michigan. Rental was ok.
The house was right across from the state park. The house was clean. The kitchen was decently stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. The bed in what I will call the master bedroom seemed to fold into the middle when there was two people in it. It was also very noisy when you would move in the middle of the night. There were two beds in the 2nd bedroom that were almost like sleeping on a piece of plywood. I was also disappointed that I had to take out the garbage on Wednesday night. For what I paid to stay here, I should’ve have to do chores that I do at home. The cleaning crew should have done this. Check in process was simple. At times it felt like communications from property management company was too much. I think I got an email or text almost every day I was there. That wasn’t needed. Just let me enjoy my trip.

Coffee maker was disgusting and unusable... it should be thrown out. Sheets did not fit on beds at all. They only covered the corners, so every time you slept they would come up, exposing the bare mattress. Floors could have used a very good sweeping and mopping. Other than these three issues, our stay was amazing!

It was a lovely place. The only drawback was that there were 5 of us, and only 4 forks. . . And only 2 wine glasses. But we soldiered on.

Felt at Home at the Beach
Fantastic view! Across the the street from the beach! I felt like the beach was my home for a couple of days! The deck and living area has a fantastic view or the “Big Lake”! The roar of the water and sounds of the lake also made this trip memorable. The rooms and bathroom were kinda small, but we were too busy enjoying being out and about. Clean accommodations, easy check in, closeness to the beach equals a very nice getaway!

Cute Basement Apartment
The space was nice, and very snug. The listing says it sleeps six or so, which is true, however if it were a rainy day and you were stuck inside, it would feel crowded to me. Also there were no personal bits throughout the apartment, no board games, books, or movies. Most places we have stayed have had a guest logbook where families can share their experiences and read past accounts. The tap water was also not good, bring a jug of water to make coffee or tea or food. The view was amazing, we got to sit right on the patio with blankets (late October) to watch the sunset, and the neighborhood was really nice to walk through. The location is good, close to downtown area, but far enough to escape any crowds.

Fantastic experience!

Great view and location. Recommend installing a garbage disposal. Also, reverse the door on the refrigerator! The only negative was noise from the upstairs apartment. Also, an awning would be great to block the intense Western Sun.

There were 3 different renters while we were there. The last group did not follow guidelines and we're noisy beyond times. There is little that blocks the sound between the 2 places. Also the matress in the small bedroom is very uncomfortable. Only 3 if the burners on the grill worked. You can see in the bedrooms if the new building in front.
