About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Newly updated, great for up to 12 & pets welcome; relax, sled, ski or snowboard!

Come stay at our newly renovated chalet. We're back on the market just in time for your next relaxing getaway at our chalet in the fresh mountain air. With a large wrap around deck, fire-pit and spacious yard big enough for games outside, the inside of the house has a big kitchen table, two family rooms, a pool table and a loft with foosball and bubble hockey. We can accommodate up to 12 people and 2 pets for your next trip to the Poconos. Located in Big Bass Lake, an award winning and Gold Star Certified premier community close to skiing, fishing, snow tubing and hiking. Big Bass Lake Community has seasonal amenities: two lake beaches, an indoor heated pool and sauna, outdoor Olympic sized pool, splash park, tennis courts, basketball courts, lake fishing, pickle ball courts, snowtubing, ice skating, a recreational center and more! The house is a short drive from Kalahari Water Park Resort, Great Wolf Lodge, Camelback Mountain Resort, Mt. Airy Casino, Montage Ski Resort, Jack Frost Mountain Resort, Pocono Raceway, Split Rock Waterpark, Lake Wallenpaupack, The Crossing Premium Outlet Shopping, golfing, waterfalls, state parks and more! In addition, there is a fantastic take out restaurant here in Big Bass and you can find a grocery store and restaurants within 15 minutes. Our 3,200 square foot chalet is located in the gated section of Big Bass Lake at the end of a quiet court on 3 acres with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, a wraparound deck and oversized loft on the third floor. Including free WiFi via a high end router, you, your friends and family (and pets!) will have plenty of comfortable space to spread out and work, school or play. Read our reviews! The house layout is great for multiple families coming together for a vacation with enough room to spread out.
While on your stay, you have much to enjoy at the chalet. If you enter from the ground floor, you'll find the first of two wood-burning stone fireplaces (firewood provided!), a pool table, a large sectional couch with multiple reclining seats for enjoying the tv with Roku, cable, a DVD player, Nintendo Wii and sound bar. There's also a full bathroom, 3 bedrooms and a full-sized washer and dryer. Head up the steps to the second/main floor and to the right, you will see another full bathroom and King bedroom (with iron and ironing board) and the main bedroom including a King bed, TV with Roku, an en suite bathroom and its own private sliding door to the wraparound deck. On this main floor, enjoy a warm and large open floor plan with tons of windows and light, high ceilings, a kitchen that has granite counters and all the cookware needed for your stay. There’s a dining table that seats 8-10, another sectional couch with a reclining seat and chaise, a second large wood-burning stone fireplace, a 65” Smart TV, cable, DVD player (with 3 drawers full of movies) Roku and sound bar for more game and movie enjoyment. You can head upstairs to the loft and play foosball, bubble hockey, board games or work from the desk or relax on the comfortable couches.

We are in the highest point of the Poconos so it typically stays cool in the house at night during warm weather months but we do have Mitsubishi split system ready for your air conditioned comfort and box fans in every bedroom. Outside, enjoy s'mores and relaxing by the fire pit, play a game of soccer, baseball or cornhole in the yard. We have 2 childrens bicycles (two wheel; no training wheels), a Razor scooter, ladder ball, can jam and extra chairs for the fire pit or lake available for your use. We also have a charcoal grill, parking for many and wood for the fireplaces. You can also have an adventure and find your own sticks and wood for the fire pit in the wooded lot that’s yours for exploring. Thank you for booking! Read the reviews (remember, we were off market for most of this past year)!

October Weekend
This fully updated and great home is in a quiet and beautiful corner of this lakeside community. Loved the big open spaces to gather with family, as well as all the fun amenities they offered in their home (see pics)! The new showers and kitchen were a delight to use, and the ease of communication with the owner made everything that much better. Truly recommend to any large family for a weekend or a week, to take advantage of this fabulous home itself, as well as the natural beauty of the land...deer, wild turkeys, and loads of squirrels abound!

The perfect Family vacation home.
The house was exactly what my family needed. We traveled with 11 people and everyone was comfortable and had activities to enjoy themselves. If you can think it, it is there. The area is beautiful, and full of outdoor and city life adventures. Mrs. Miller and her Team thought of literally everything, are very responsive, and really care about you and your stay. I love that we chose to rent this property; our luck could not have been any better. Thank you, Lisa! Blessings to you, your Family, and your entire Team.

Great communication from the host and the house was roomy, private and well appointed for our two family get away. We didn’t visit the pool because the beach and swimming in the lake was so much fun. Stop searching… this is the place to book
I spent so much time searching for an affordable place for my coworkers and I past ski trip. This place was truly amazing .. very clean, and updated. The bathrooms were beautiful. The beds are comfortable and nicely decorated. This place is spacious 5 bedroom 3 floored home. There’s Laundry machines in the home. Everything you need in the kitchen is available. We had an Amazing weekend cooking up family styled meals serves on a large dining table. There was not one but two fireplaces. The fire pit is amazing to roast marshmallows. There is plenty of games and a pool table that we enjoyed. We loved the grounds of the house with frequent deer visitors. And lastly the owner was fantastic to work with. She answered all of my questions promptly and was always available. Talk about falling in love with someone else’s home is an understatement. As I said before ..look no further .. this is the place to book ..

Had a great time- great host and fun poroperty. Great accomadions, beds were very comfortable.
Plenty of space to entertain both inside and out. The deck is very large to both sit and chat or sit at the table and eat. The inside both upstairs and down are both spacious to entertain and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. But our favorite place was around the campfire with cut fire wood ready to burn!

Last minute family getaway
My family and 2 dogs had a wonderful week in this lovely home! Everything was exactly as described in the listing and included everything we needed for our stay and more. The two living spaces were great for us to spread out when we wanted to and a downstairs bedroom was nice and quiet for my adult son to be able to work remotely. (The wifi for that was exceptional!) The pool table downstairs and the games in the loft were an added bonus. My daughter and I loved the community pool, but get there early because the chairs fill up quickly! Also, the house is nicely secluded and the surrounding wooded areas made for wonderful walks with the dogs. Lisa was fantastic host! She was very easy to communicate with before and after our stay. I asked a few questions about groceries, restaurants, recreation, etc. before we left home and she was kind enough to send a long reply listing a ton of answers including links for us to access more information for each. We did take advantage of her information on several area restaurants. We had terrific food from Kay's, Mendicino's and FuDa hibachi..... all close enough for takeout. We really enjoyed our stay and everything about the home and would highly recommend it for a family getaway.

Terrific host with wonderful house in great location!
We enjoyed a family reunion with 3 generations under one roof. Everyone loved the house from the youngest to the most senior member of the family. Rain or shine, this house is equipped to entertain offering a variety of things to do. Both the house and yard are spacious and private being surrounded by trees. One could never leave the property and be content; however the Big Bass Lake Community recreation center and pool is within walking distance just up the street and around the corner. Shopping is a short drive away. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give Lisa Miller and this chalet a 10!

As promised & not disappointed
The house was as described and was clean and well supplied. We enjoyed the community lake activities and riding bikes in the quiet roads. The weather wasn’t great but we had plenty of games to play between clouds and space in the house for teens and parents to spread out in different living rooms. The kitchen got a lot of use as well. We had to go home and bring back a dog but they made it an easy add too. Thanks for a great place to hang with friends and family during our week away from home.

Plenty of fun for all
This house was roomy and comfortable for our gathering of family - myself, children and grandchildren. We were 3 adult couples, one 20 yr. old, 2 age 16, and one dog. The young people and some adults made good use of the games in the loft, as well as the desk for homework, and the pool table downstairs. We enjoyed the extra touches like supplies for s'mores which we had around the fire pit, and the box of teas, and we enjoyed the Olympics on the big tvs, and good wifi throughout the house. The dog liked the deck which we enclosed with the gates over the two staircases. Since the weather was cool until the last day of our week, and we weren't using the pool and beaches (until the last day), we hiked and boated nearby - in Tobyhanna State Park, Gouldsboro State Park, Camelback. We ate most of our meals at the house since we had many cooks among us. The first night we had good takeout from Kay's Italian restaurant, and the last night, from the Community's own little cafe/Thai place which was very good. We enjoyed the quiet and pretty setting of the house, and walking the neighborhood of houses and gardens nestled into the deep forest.
