Bra läge med fin utsikt
Fint rum med härlig utsikt över Liseberg. Sköna sängar, rent och fräscht badrum. Frukosten hade ett ok utbud och trots många gäster gick det bra att hitta någonstans att sitta. Antalet kaffemaskiner var för få. Den typen som skall göra cappuccino m.m. var det alltid 4-5 personer i kö till och varje kopp tar lite tid att brygga. Även antalet hissar är underdimensionerat. Mellan 08:00 och 11:00 åkte vi upp och ned till våning åtta flera gånger. Det var hopplöst, framförallt att ta sig ned. Logiken verkar vara att ta gäster på de högre våningarna först och sen fylla på med gäster från lägre våningsplan på väg ned. Det gjorde att hissarna alltid var fulla för oss på de lägre planen. Jag överdriver inte när jag skriver att vi väntade runt tio minuter på att ta oss ned vid 11:00. Kommenterade problematiken med hissarna när jag checkade ut och fick svaret ”Vi har 900 rum som ska äta frukost och checka ut, då blir det kö vid hissarna”Vi bodde i torn 1. Restaurangen hade DJ och miljön hade passat utmärkt om man laddat för en kväll ute, men inte för en middag där man vill konversera med sin partner på ett normalt sätt. För drygt 3000kr/natt för ett vanligt dubbelrum hade jag förväntat mig lite högre klass. Rummet i sig var inte bättre än ett vanligt Scandic. De hade förvisso piffat upp entrén till frukosten med julpynt och det var en kör som sjöng i trappen vid receptionen. Synd bara att man stod vid hissarna och väntade på att få åka ned…
