"Ostan Loch Altan was an excellent place to rest on a looping, self-organized road trip through the hinterlands of County Donegal. The roadside inn is comfort, with spacious rooms (though the bed was on the soft side, so you felt a little like you were sinking toward the middle). Luckily, the hotel has its own pub, which serves dinner — Friday night was steak special night — and breakfast room, as the other pub across the street wasn’t serving food midweek in early November.
