The little town center just a few block's walk away is indeed very helpful and quite substantial. Transit very close, not difficult at all, even with luggage in tow."

"We stayed here for eight days in October with two couples, both 60+. Everything about the villa was as advertised and more. Especially the living and dining rooms are large and comfortable, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the beds very comfortable, all the amenities excellent, and the hosts were always available and kind and helpful. Montfoort is centrally located and it was wonderful after a busy day of sightseeing to come ā€œhomeā€ and not have to unpack but just relax. Highly recommended...

"A lovely house and garden with stream at the end. The river is close by, and was idyllic to paddle board / kayak on and has a well used cycle route alone it. The tennis court, almost next to the house, was always available. Location is rural but it is easy to get to Amsterdam and lots of other places. Caroline was quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon."

"A beautiful location near a lovely town. A great base for out stay, just wish we'd had more time to just rest and enjoy the surroundings! The only reason it didn't get 5 starts all round is it was difficult to get hold of anyone to answer questions on the days when reception wasn't manned (which wasn't often)!"

"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH...
