This was a last minute getaway. We live in the northeast, and we wanted warm weather, a destination with a laid back feel that was close to some good kayaking , and one that had abundant wildlife as well. The home in Goodland was perfect. The small town is close to Marco Island so you are never far from the grocery, drug store, etc., but it is it's own special little fishing community that sits at the top of the 10,000 Islands in the Everglades. Great fishing, great birding, and a very friendly and welcoming community.
The house was well outfitted with everything we needed. Good sitting areas inside and out, and best of all, came with kayaks, bikes, and a very handy golf cart!
Thanks Wandell, we appreciated your hospitality.
