"The Chaarya Resort and Spa is a gorgeous hotel set in a beautiful palm tree lined property. They have a very refreshing pool, a cool outdoor bar, pool table, games area, gym and spa facilities. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, they have multiple gardeners working the lawns all the time. The hotel consists of multiple 1 or 2 story buildings meaning that its private and quiet. "We arrived there after a 5 hr drive to find it closed, actually more like abandoned. There was no one working there much less staying there. Luckily we found a beautiful place down the beach. Very disheartening that Expedia would take bookings for a place that’s not even open. Worst of it is that even after we notified Expedia you can still book it !!"

"This property was vacant and no one else staying there. I felt unsafe here, there was no warm water. The towels were hard, only one toilet paper. The fridge was faulty. I didn’t want to have breakfast as I was worried about the standard of hygiene. It really smelt like animal faecal matter due to the cows and buffaloes near by. "

"Beautiful property, the rooms were spacious and uniquely decorated and fit the jungle aesthetic. Due to its proximity to Yala National Park, we saw many wild Peacocks roaming around in the backyard. This also meant that the Safari jeep was able to pick us up on the main road easily on the way to the park. On the downside, the property was located at the end of a dirt path off the main road and was not properly marked on the map. This made it very difficult was taxi drivers to find the hotel....

"Resort is on very quiet beach, with minimum other resorts around, which is great if you want to switch off and relax! You will forget what day it is and that was what we were Looking for. Specious rooms with huge balconies, pool with view to ocean, bar and great breakfasts."

"I hate to give bad reviews, especially because the service was lovely and the property was great. But the room was dirty, with rat droppings on the beds. We were the only people staying at the hotel. I’m sure they cleaned the room when the last person checked out, but that seemed like months ago with the amount of dust and dead bugs in the room. Also, no WiFi in the room!"

"The property is wonderful with a great facilities!!! The villa was very clean, sofa bed was ready and the bed was very comfortable. AC or fan is in the rooms which is I founded very convenient. Beach towels are provided, so you don’t have to take from home. Bathroom is very clean, plenty of branded toiletries (smells amazing). I was missing a shower cap only (if you don’t want to get your hair wet under the shower, as sometimes you have to take few during the day). Towels are fresh and soft,...

"If you're seeking an immersive nature experience, Yala Safari Camping is an unforgettable adventure. Nestled near the Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, this camping site offers an ideal blend of wilderness and comfort. The tents are beautiful. Calling them tents probably is not the right term. They are so spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, offering a balance between rustic charm and modern convenience. The tub in the room is such a nice touch. The highlight, of course, is the proximity to the park itself. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and then heading out for a safari is an experience that’s hard to beat. After a day of exploration, the campsite offers a peaceful retreat with delicious meals. The food is freshly prepared, and the chef does a fantastic job. The whole team is wonderful; so gracious and do their best to meet every request, always with a smile. Overall, Yala Safari Camping offers an excellent balance of adventure, nature, and comfort. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just looking for a unique getaway, it’s a fantastic option that provides an authentic and memorable safari experience. It is beyond magical. Leaving here is hard. "

"Absolutely loved staying here and definitely would recommend this hotel to all. A real gem! Outstanding service by all staff. Stunning decor throughout the hotel/resort. Beautifully designed rooms that are comfortable. Great sleep. They even have an elevator for guests to go one floor up. Lots of open indoor and outdoor spaces to relax in. Beautiful pool, and beach area. Great food. Even have gluten-free sugar-free options and are very flexible with your desired meal plans. They even surprised me with a gluten free/sugar free birthday cake. Only stayed for 3 nights but had the best relaxing experience. The staff and manager are all wonderful and treat you like family. Definitely would love to come back here in the future and don’t miss your opportunity when choosing hotels - stay here and have a fantastic vacation."
