"For my last night on the road on the way to Frankfurt I thought I would stay at a traditional German pub/pensione and so this was it. When I arrived there was a sign on the door saying closed until the 1 March at 5.30pm. The whole place was shut up and chairs were on the tables inside the pub. "We booked to stay at Haus Saarland am Rennsteig. On arriving at the hotel we found it was closed and a notice telling us to go to another hotel, Hotel Thuringenschanze which was about 0.5km away. Since we had arrived by public transport we had to walk there with our luggage. On checking in at the new hotel we were not offered Oberhof guest cards. "Die Villa ist direkt gegenüber vom Kurpark, der für Groß und Klein Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten bietet. Fußläufig sind Bäcker, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu erreichen. Das Haus bietet viel Platz. Teilweise war es in den Zimmern etwas staubig. Schade war dasd kein Kaminholz zur Verfügung stand. "

"Das Haus hat einen phantastischen urigen Charme. Es hat uns an den Fuchsbau von Harry Potter erinnert. Einfach phantastisch. Die Kinder waren auch mehr als begeistert. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Man kommt schnell überall hin und die Aussicht ist grandios.Wir können dieses Objekt nur weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder."
