Jerry & JoAnn invite you to open the private gate to Riverwood's park-like setting and begin your stay on the 5 acre Rouge river front property with its second floor guest suite. Plenty of parking.
Enjoy the second floor deck with its expansive views of the river and property. Watch the local wildlife including deer, geese, egrets, many types of ducks, eagle and osprey. The osprey nest is just a short distance away. The property is alive with large pine trees, majestic oaks, dogwood and acres of grassy areas. The river is abundant with native trout, steelhead and salmon. How about a trout breakfast. Sit in an Adirondack chair and enjoy the floating dock, or just sit on the private beach. Wood is available for a beach fire . Take a dip or simply lounge around the pool. Have your morning coffee / tea on the deck or BBQ your evening meal. The 750 square feet suite features a bedroom with a 4 corner poster bed, living room with kitchenette, microwave, large screen TV, listen to music or ask questions on Amazon Echo, internet access, antique roll top desk, premium sofa bed, dining area, and bathroom with shower and bathtub. The large grassy area that borders the river is great for picnics, throwing a football and other activities of your choice.
The property is rural in the Rouge Valley between Ashland and Grants Pass, but only a little over a mile from Highway 5. Ashland and its renowned theater is about 30 minutes away.
Enjoy wine tasting at the many wineries, many have live music, shopping in the historic town of Jacksonville, rafting the Rouge River, a hike up Table Rock, dining at excellent restaurants, the adventurous Hellgate excursions, or biking the trail from Gold Hill to Ashland, There are some pretty nice golf courses available.
