Beautifully and newly built with your comfort and vacation experience in mind, this home is the perfect spot to settle in for your next escape to Gold Beach. This Oregon Coast retreat features a polished kitchen with a large island, sleek contemporary design, and brand new stainless steel appliances, as well as a comfortable dining and living room where guests can enjoy time together. Outside, you'll love relaxing on a spacious deck that overlooks the waters of Riley Creek. The front porch swing is something enjoyed by kids and parents along with seniors–the perfect place to unwind!

A reputable architect designed the duplex to take maximum advantage of the surrounding geography in a manner that would create a serene and private setting for its occupants. The area is quiet, the sounds of nature abundant, and the gurgling creek soothing (which when flowing at its usual pace can be heard when inside either dwelling), and visits from deer, bugling elk, wild turkeys, and the occasional owl or bear are daily reminders of one’s connection with nature. The placement of the carport between the two parts of the duplex, as well as the layout and position of each home in relation to the other, was designed to maximize the exposure of each to nature and to maintain privacy between the dwellings.

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Close enough to hear the ocean waves yet tucked back into the hillside. Close enough to walk to town. We found this little gem to be perfect. The shower is our only con from the stay. Although the tub is pretty, The shower curtain touches you while showering and shower head isnt adjustable. Other than that, it was great!

Living like a local
Attractive, bright, light, airy, IKEA styled home. Still in process to finish up some of the details. Many thoughtful amenities but still missing some essentials to make this little house a truly comfortable stay. The neighbors rooster is a problem if a light sleeper. Bring earbuds. Additionally, the neighbors house has a security light that floods the bedrooms with light. The windows could use blackout shades or curtains. Maybe the homeowner could provide eye patches and earplugs as a courtesy. Very generous that dogs are allowed, I would suggest the homeowner provide dark sheets To cover sofa and beds. It is hard to keep some pooches from jumping up. Coverlet too warm, but only saw a Single throw blanket. House needs an entry coat rack or hooks to hang coats on. Once weather becomes rainy this will be all the more essential.

Clean properly in quiet area. A little hard to find if you arrive at night time but overall a good place to stay. The house is open, clean, lots of windows, fully equipped with cooking tools. Beds are comfortable and warm which is great. Already looking at staying again!

Cute! But that's about it...
Cute house that does sleep 4 total. However, this house really only accommodates 2 adults. The seating in the living room is not designed for comfort and we ended up spending the majority of our TV and game time on big blankets on the floor. The shower is not "fixed." It is hanging by a clothes hanger in the shower so do not expect to adjust the angle. There is not a yard to speak of so very little time was spent outside at this property. It is smack dab between 2 houses and the secluded views in the pictures and descriptions provided are not quite accurate. The good: the kitchen is stocked with pans and most all you need, the open layout and massive windows were beautiful, it's fairly updated/newer construction, washer and dryer work well. We had construction taking place on this property we were not aware of and I must say, the vacasa team was great working us to fix this issue. It's adorable, it's cute, but the butcher block counter tops that you can't get wet (kitchen and bath), lack of comfort, and no seclusion did not meet our standards. All that to say, the vacasa team on the ground was amazing!

Gold Beach Oregon Stay
It was a very comfortable stay. We had a nice time. I agree with previous reports of the funky shower and counter tops. Still am not sure how to keep the counter tops dry as they requested. We did make our trip in the rainy season which I well knew we were doing. We are from Humboldt and get a lot of rain here too. Anyway, there was a pile of woodchips which should have been spread out over the driveway which was not done. We had a bit of slushy mud moving from the car to house. There was a note in the house requesting to please take off your shoes when entering. Well, that became a bit difficult loading and unloading the car in the mud and rain. Maybe if they spread the woodchips, they would not get so much mud in the house. Other than that, our stay was amazing, and I would definitely stay there again. It was nice, clean, and cozy. The price was excellent, and our needs were definitely met. Very close to town, restaurants, grocery, and the beautiful Oregon coast.

Great place to stay if you don't mind......
The intense smell of laundry detergent that will find it's way into everything you have brought into the place. The delay it will cause you to lock and unlock the door via a fickle key pad that will only open sometimes. We were not told that you have to pull the handle of the door towards you in order to lock it as the door lock can not seat into it's proper place if you do not (overall I'd say a good thirty minutes altogether wasted in trying to get in and out of this place). Great if you do not mind sitting on a toilet that rocks back and forth. Great if you do not mind the neighbors outdoor lights shining into the room you are trying to sleep in. Great if you do not mind holding the shower head the whole time as there is nowhere to hook it. Also the shower leaks all over the bathroom floor and is destroying the tile. Great if you do not mind not being able to talk to the person in charge of this place. One can only talk with vacasa which does not know anything personal about the place. Great if you do not mind the way the place echos because there are no carpets anywhere probably because they allow dogs. Which brings me to being here is great if you do not mind the sent of dog on the throw blankets and furniture. Even through all this we did enjoy our stay believe it or not because we were there for the beach anyway. Next time I will only choose properties where there is an actual host who can help you out with things.

The home is exactly as listed. Clean, fully equipped kitchen. Able to sit outside on the back veranda and watch the deer and birds. One little wonky item was the shower. We made a little change adjustment and it worked fine. And for some reason we had a devil of a time unlocking the coded front door. But we did figure it out. If you want a charming place this would be the place.

The house was really cute, clean and updated. All the lights and outlets in one of the bedrooms did not work. we asked the text who sent us the entry information. they said to switch the breaker, but that did not remedy the situation. We had no power back there the entire stay. Also, there was no laundry detergent to start laundry as requested. And only two rolls of toilet paper for a three night, four person stay.

Relaxing, tranquil, solid built bungalow with minor quirks and astounding beauty
Really loved this bungalow, it was very relaxing place to stay that felt safe and secure. Loved the kitchen and all of the beautiful countertops, had a blast cooking there. Also really enjoyed all of the large windows that brought in great natural light. We watched deer, ducks, dogs and cats play outside in the field and near the creek, was relaxing and peaceful. The solid wood floors was a nice touch as well. We were fortunate to experience a significant storm while staying, with great gusts of wind, downpour of rain, and sheet lighting; the house barely moved or showed any indication of being affected by what was transpiring outside, probably one of the more solid built buildings I've been in for a while. The comments about minor quirks in the bathroom are correct, the shower head doesn't have a hanger outside of just hanging on the shower curtain, which isn't the best and could be easily rectified. The bathroom sink cabinet is natural wood that isn't stained, and the faucet while nice and fancy providing a laminar twist flow, only causes much splattering when anything breaks that flow, like washing your hands. The combination isn't the best and it appears they may of had a long term resident that didn't wipe up the countertop after every use and some mildew crept-in in a few places, something that a quick sand and waterproof stain could easily rectify. Besides these two minor quirks this bungalow was amazing. Overall this was a prefect place for me, my wife and 6 mth old to stay a while and explore the area from, we look forward to coming back someday.

We couldn’t get in using the key pad code. Had to call to get lockbox code. I think the backup lockbox code should be given along with door code. Since the door code did not work. Once inside the house was beautiful! All new appliances, cabinets etc. Beautiful new interior!! Quiet neighborhood. With free roaming deer.

Nice Weekend Getaway
Upon checking in and walking into this cute cottage, you are greeted by an open concept living space with a great amount of natural lighting. We did notice the floors were a bit sandy, but it is to be expected when you are visiting a costal town. There was a nice greeting card and a pet bowl with pickup baggies was provided which was a nice touch. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans, glassware, silverware, etc. You can tell that the owners read each and every review and make adjustments as they go. There is a Keurig with the option to use your own coffee (grounds) if you did not have pods, but they also provided coffee pods as well, and a french press is available too, so many coffee options. The blind issues that had been mentioned in past reviews was address and have been replaced with cordless blinds that provide the perfect amount of privacy, while also allowing some muted natural light into the rooms. The bedrooms are well appointed with extra blankets, pillows, and heaters if the rooms is too cold. The heating/cooling system in the property works really well and heats up the space great, and has a good fan and cooling feature too. It does make a little clicking noise when starting and as the fan turns off, but nothing to loud and disrupting. The only *wonky* thing that we ran into was the shower head situation, but found a way around it and managed to hang the shower head on the shower curtain (shower head has a little clip on the back) and was able to take a normal shower, while making sure the water stayed within the tub area. The one recommendation I would make is to make a mount for the shower head attachment to the wall, but that is it. The bathroom was well stocked with lots of bath towels, hand towels and toiletries. Overall it was a great stay in Gold Beach, and look forward to staying again while in the area.

Expensive For Two
While it was clean, we think it was very pricey and would be a much better value for two couples since it has two nice bedrooms. It felt less homey being asked to remove shoes upon entering the home, having to keep the seemingly unfinished wood kitchen and bathroom counter tops completely dry at all times to prevent mildew, and having to take our dog with us everywhere we went as you're not allowed to leave a dog in the home unsupervised. We both found it hilarious that the kitchen was fully stocked (pots/pans/dishes/silverware, and a spice rack a chef would LOVE to mention a few things) and we brought our own coffee from home assuming the maker would be a normal one but the Keurig was there without a single pod to make coffee so we had to purchase some. The heating unit didn't come with instructions but my husband was able to figure out how it worked. It makes a loud ticking noise while running. There IS a shower head however it isn't functional in the normal sense. It must be hand held and one needs to be careful not to get water on the floor. And the window coverings look nice but are not user friendly. At the end of the day, we had a nice time in Gold Beach.

New house, disfunctional bath/shower, blood on paper blinds
Cute place, but highly disfunctional shower/bath situation. You can tell by the mold behind the tub and paint peeling off the walls near the baseboard that people have been struggling to clean themselves in that tub without flooding the bathroom since new. If there is not mold in the walls, there will be in short order. Also the vanity top is unsealed wood and is absorbing moisture and getting visibly moldy. Typical architect designed home, form over function. Enough about the bathroom, let's talk general cleanliness. The floors appeared clean though it looks like dirty mop water was used. Windows were pretty dirty, large cobweb full of dead insects above t.v.. There was also blood on one of the paper blinds in one of the bedrooms. We did not stay in this room and only set our bags in the room. The washer sounds like a spaceship when on spin cycle and is too loud to carry on a conversation and do laundry at the same time. Also the heat/cooling pump on the wall makes a loud ticking noise like the fan is hitting something, it woke my wife up when I tried to turn it on. I tried all the settings and it still made the noise. You can sometimes here the ocean at night, if the neighborhood dogs aren't barking. There was also a backup key box, but no codes were given for the box. Also we weren't sure where the garbage can was outside, there only appeared to be one for the connected neighbor dwelling. Yes this house is connected to another and other houses are close by as well. Other than all those things the price was affordable and kitchen was well stocked. Seriously though, the shower/ bath needs replacing asap to avoid further issues beyond what's already apparent.
