"Just returned from a break in Tropical Village which does offer a fairly unique opportunity to experience time on a genuine Maldives settlement - as you are staying on the island alongside a friendly local community - so no booze I'm afraid! We were greeted on arrival with flower garlands and refreshing towels which was nice, then led up to the guest area through a collection of fairly 'lived in' breeze block local dwellings. As said this is a real community.... The islanders have recently set...
