"We loved the decor. We spent a lot of time looking at the pictures and the second floor activity room. Unfortunately, some of the castle was closed because it's winter and there was a lot of ice. The room was clean. It had a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room was extremely warm and I didn't know how to put the air-conditioner on, so we had trouble sleeping. They had a restaurant and bar, but it was closed. We ended up walking to a local bar, Shorty's Southside, where we had dinner and a couple drinks. "

"When I made my reservation I noted in the special assistance section that I preferred a ground floor room due to hip and knee replacement. Upon arrival, found out no ground floor so front desk lady said she could move me to 1st floor. I was happy and appreciative. I had prepaid via Expedia. Female said room found and then told additional $15. I declined the move as thought a ‘switch and bait’ tactic. Also would prefer a coffee machine in the room. Not a deal breaker. Everything else was fine. "

"This home was beautifully set up. We really enjoyed cooking meals and relaxing in the hot tub. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great...it rained most of our stay. We took a few road trip and hung out in the house which was lovely. extremely low in the lake"
