Early Christmas Getaway
We have stayed at this property before, and have always enjoyed our stay. This year we were treated to an unexpected early December snowfall!! It was quite magical, and the home was toasty and warm! The home is lovely and perfect for our needs. Our host is most accommodating!

Mountain Getaway
Great house with convenient access to pickleball, dog park, driving range, putt-putt, and hiking trails. Quiet neighborhood community with easy access to the main road. Unique screened porch with TV and fireplace. Interior fireplace helped keep the house warm and cozy on chilly days. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Provided a great opportunity for our family to unplug and get away from the daily grind.

Spring Break in Chinquapin
We had a great stay in the Chinquapin community. We enjoyed the driving range, pickleball, and The Outpost all within walking distance of the house. My son loved the basketball court and we took a few hikes to various waterfalls. It was the perfect cozy and quiet getaway and we would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful Cottage!
We were here for Spring Break and had a great stay. The cottage is beautiful with a fabulous outdoor fireplace and indoor remote controlled gas logs. Nicely stocked bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Very close to Panthertown and tons of things to do in the Chinquapin community - pickleball courts, driving range, catch and release stocked ponds, dog park and firepits were a huge hit with our group. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Quiet home
Perfect, quiet and relaxing home! We were only able to stay 2 nights, but wished we had booked one more night when it was time to leave. Even tho we had a lot of rain- we were still able to get out for walks during the breaks! So nice to have access to nature trails and all the other outdoor amenities without having to get in the car and drive! There was also plenty of space for our dog to run around and play- she loved it! Wonderful getaway- would definitely love to come back!

Fantastic time in the mountains!
My family and I had a great time in the mountains and loved this beautiful home! We stayed over Christmas and unfortunately had winter storm Elliot hit while there, but our host was phenomenal and went out of his way to ensure we were safe and taken care of! The neighbors were so friendly and the neighborhood in general has tons of fantastic amenities. Can’t say enough good things about this place. An important thing to know is the roads leading up to the house are steep and full of twists and turns - if it snows/ices and you’re not comfortable driving in that weather, it can be very hard and scary to get up and down. We will definitely be back though, hopefully once the weather warms up!

It could have been better
The house was ok but honestly we thought could have been better. Not well stocked, no soap for showers, pillows were very uncomfortable, no desk to work, outdoor patio was dirty, screen missing so bugs could come in and the heating system was very loud and blew so hard we had to turn it off to sleep, tried to turn fan down but couldn’t figure it out. Overall it wasn’t bad just needs to be improved to get 5 stars for the above reasons. Host was good and quick communication appreciated. Make these simple fixes and would upgrade the house a lot.

Christmas Retreat
We truly enjoyed our North Carolina retreat for Christmas. The house is beautiful and fully equipped. We cooked and ate out on the screened in back porch with a delightful wood fire right there on the deck. The location suited us well. As we were from Louisiana, Virginia, and Florida this cabin's local offered us a central meeting point. The three bedroom, four bathroom set-up fit us perfectly. We also enjoyed taking walks in the area as there are not a lot of other houses in the area yet. We enjoyed the small down of Cashiers just down the "hill" (a few switchbacks but not too bad). I especially loved their local "Ingles" grocery store as our daughter has to eat gluten-free and I've never seen such a great variety of items. One day we went into Asheville (about an hour and a half away), ate at the Wicked Weed Brewery and enjoyed our night-time tour at Biltmore decorated for Christmas with lights and music. I would highly recommend this rental and hope we have the opportunity to enjoy it again!

1.I would have NEVER found the property with directions provided. Directions were both incorrect and required GPS which wasn't available because of "No Signal" on both my and wife's phones (AT&T) 2.Advertised wood burning fireplace had no wood, starter or lighter. When contacted owner stated it wasn't provided. EXTREMELY challenging and inconvenient plus cost hundreds of dollars for two weeks of firewood, starter and lighter. 3. TV Rokus DID NOT Work! Owner stated he was 3 hours away and couldn't help. Purchased Sling subscription to watch TV's. 4. Gas fireplace remote was dead. Had to buy my own batteries. 5. House was dirty. Very poorly cleaned. Windows were grimy with spider webs. 6. Dryer quit working. Owner was unhelpful. After reading owner's manual discovered it wasn't vented and required emptying water reservoir. Then it worked fine. No "heads up" from the owner about this very unusual feature.

Great stay in Chinquapin cottage. All necessities of home provided in a quiet nature setting in Chinquapin where deer and rabbits roamed freely. Close enough to town, hiking and waterfalls for easy access to all your vacation and adventure needs.
