"Old Kirkstead is a really nice spot which was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. We'd never been to this part of Scotland before but we'll be back for longer in the summer having only had three nights this time round. Hilary (the host) couldn't have been more helpful after we managed to completely mess up the booking too!"

"The Stables Cottage includes a foyer, eat-in kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom with tub and shower downstairs. The two bedrooms were upstairs plus a bathroom with shower only. "The Garden Cottage is such a fantastic spot. My family was traveling to Scotland for a wedding and needed a nearby accommodation with minimal stairs for the 92 yr old grandmother. The Garden Cottage seemed to be a good choice until we walked in the door and WOW, it exceeded all expectations. Not only were there few stairs and 3 bedrooms, the cottage included a lovely kitchen with a large table, a sitting room, a tv room and a fantastic garden with opportunities to spot a big rabbit or two. ...

"Lovely old stone cottage with everything you need to be comfortable away from home. Clear instructions, cozy living space and Henrietta is absolutely delightful and very responsive. The estate is beautiful to walk on, very peaceful, rural setting, but super easy to get into Edinburgh on the train. Delicious local restaurants."

"We loved staying at Mauldslie Cottage while visiting the Edinburgh area. It was cozy & inviting. While it was a bit outside of Edinburgh, the train was very convenient to get into and home from the city, and we also enjoyed seeing the countryside."

"This is a superb cottage, finished to an excellent standard and very well equipped. There is no phone signal or WiFi which some people may not like but for us that just added to the feel of having a proper getaway in The Borders countryside. You can’t walk on the immediate estate but that really doesn’t matter as there are plenty of walks in the area.
